in #steemit7 years ago

Thank you good post i liked it,i upvoted you follow me,this post is so informative, nice post ,this is so far the best post on Steemit, nice read, thank you for this post can i resteem it and many other generic annoying comments
I guess if you have been on Steemit for a while now,you must have read those generic comments i shared above.

If you are reading this and you have ever written or planning on writing such comments on any blog,be warned you will be flagged for spamming
.
You can read this post by @rok-sivante on the number thing you should not do if you want to earn upvotes and gain followers here

I always ask myself where a person gets the audacity to write such a genric comment on another's blog?
Like WTF do you(if you are a victim!)/people who do this be thinking??
I take 2 or 3 hours writing a post like this,i add and cite photos and for you come and say "good post i like it" fuck!

Let me give you a small piece of advice,if you do not understand what the post ia about,it is better not to comment than say "good post!"

What Generic Comments Depict

The comments we leave behind on people's blogs say a lot about us.

1 . You dont care.

It shows that you dont care about the author who took his time to think through his/her post.
All you care about is commenting and expecting an upvote! Sorry you will not get that upvote, instaed you will get a downvote/flag.

2 .You Didn't Read The Post.

Let us be real here, which kind of post here on Steemit deserves a reply of "nice read ,i like it"
Let me ask, Why TF would you comment on a post you have not read through? You call this Facebook where you can comment unrelated stuff to the original post.

I have always seen some posts on Facebook talking about crypto and some dumbass comes and leaves a comment that says "Ronaldo is better than Messi or Messi is better than Ronaldo"
I am here to tell you that kind of commenting does not work here on Steemit.

3 .Laziness,carelessness and Greed.

Yeah you read that right, if you leave a " nice post" on any blog,no one will ever ever take you serious here on Steemit.

You just portrayed yourself as a greedy person expecting an upvote from others.
You also careless and lazy to think through the author's post and leave a thoughtful reply.

Why You Should Give a Thoughtful Comment.

Most of the reasons are almost the opposite of the above, butci will highlight another great reason for a thoughtful comment below.
When you give a well thought after comment, you are resteeming your entire blog!
Let me explain this,if you write a very insightful comment, some people might not even upvote your comment, but head and upvote all your recent posts with a massive upvote!

This has happened to me a lot and its why i keep writing thoughtful comments on people's blogs.

If your comment was so thoughtful, some whales can even go further to follow your blog.

I have also got a few whales follow me as a result of my comments.

A thoughtful comment also shows us your personality and attitude towards Steemit.
You may be asking why your attitude towards Steemit matters.Steemit is a community of great loving folks.

If your comments portray love and generosity, the community will reciprocate the love to you inform of upvotes and may be even Steem Power delegation!

As i conclude on this reasons, always remember that the only way we can know about you is through your comments.
Always make comments that would encourage us to check out your blog and may be follow you.

4 Kickass Ways of Coming Up with Thoughtful Comments.

1. Give Your Personal Experience.

I have realized that this is the most used and its what i use most of the time.
Let me explain further,if a person posts about goal setting tips and gives a list.
You can comment back by stating the tip you have been using and your experience with that tip.

I can give another example, when posts about crypto are always posted here.
I always relate the post as a newbie and how am going to apply the said info in the post.

2. Add Your Opinion To The Post.

You might think this is similar to the above of giving personal experience,it is not.
Here you will be giving your own opinion of the topic.
This works well on aa topic you are passionate above. This is the reason you always need to comment on posts that excite you and also where you have enough knowledge on the subject.

I always comment on posts on bitcoin,life,promo-steem and all topics i have sufficient knowledge to give an opinion.

3 .Compliment the author's Post.

If this similar author has posted something in the past and it did help you, this is the right time to thank him/her of the posts

Alll human beings crave appreciation,so use this to your advantage to thank the author of his/her previous posts that might have helped you.

If for example an author wrote about some tips that helped you and you had not thanked them yet,use this as an avenue to thank them in this new post to acknowledge their pas9 work.

This is also the right way of creating a relationship with the author, you can keep commenting back and forth.

4. Disagree Politely With Factual Evidence

This one is a very delicate way of commenting and you should avoid iy at all costs. This method can easily backfire on you!

This involves commenting on a blog but being on the opposing side with enough evidence to prove your point.

I said you should do it politely as not to harm the feelings of the author. There are a few human beings accept that they have made a mistake or error!!

If you are to pull of this method of commenting, you must be tactful in your approach so as not to hurt the author. You can always start by agreeing on the many points before bringing the opposing view.

I would advice though that you should refrain from this method and stick with the other three above.

As i conclude, always remember to be gentle and polite as you make these comments as we do not want to discourage people out of Steemit with harsh comments.

I am sure if you apply these 4 methods above, you can be a pro at commenting and also develop a big following as more people will gravitate towards your blog.

Let me repeat something here, everytime you commment, you are actually resteeming your blog....so mind your comments on this post of mine here hehehe.

Let me hope i dont see those generic comments here!!!!

If you liked this post please upvote and comment.

This is a great initiative, mind opener, you made a good call on this post. Steemit is a place for continual education, a no nonsense place.

I love the way you respond to comment, this would want people to revisit your blog.

Thank you sir for this information passed out here.

We need to remember that every time we comment,we are actually resteeming our posts.

If the comment is generic it means the blog is also not having any great content!

I actually like the part you said "it's better for you not to comment than to comment 'nice post' on people's post "..
When I started Steemit newly, I used to comment alot of irrelevant comments , but have come to understand alot from you ..
Thanks for adding knowledge to knowledge..

Great info right there, had a question, How do you differeciate relevant and irrelevant comments?
Thanks

You are not supposed to comment only 'nice post' on a lengthy post that has great content in it..
If you don't understand the post, just like and pass...
That's it

Thanks so much Moses. I have been mentored and very well advised by your post. I feel like re-reading through as many times as need be.

Congrats your account was finally approved.

Thanks moses

I actually went through this https://steemit.com/steemit/@jaraumoses/4-must-know-reasons-why-all-newbies-should-comment-and-learn-where-to-comment-on first and was redirected here. I am new and I was a victim of some of those comments. And I am using this post to correct my mistake. I really appreciate your work and I hope you also see this comment @jaraumoses

Thanks for reading both posts and obviously i would see both comments.
I use a tool called steemd.com, you can check out the post i wrote about 3 tools every minnow must be using!

Your post are really helpful and am going to check it out right away.

Personally I don't know all of those ways
But I focused on that of
DON'T COMMENT WITH "nyc post, fantastic" etc
So it's the only one I knew

So I try hard to read and understand the Authors post and later on comment not with
Those annoying comments

As a new lad on steemit I don't think I can do opposing comments, just because am still green on steemit maybe at a later stage when am experienced

But now am to supplement, give my view on post.

Otherwise Thanks @jaraumoses
You added value on my steemit commenting world

Come see this @musemeza

Thanks for your observations so far. Also am mastering on the supplimenting bit where you first understnd the topic well, then add something based on i think the knowlede you have

🙌

Thanks for endorsing my post.

Your welcome.

T’was well done service to the community. Therefore, a pleasure to support.

I will continue doing my best to support the community in all ways i can.
Jim Rohn once said

You get paid for the value you bring to the market place(in this case Steemit).

As well, I believe it was him that said, “you can have anything you want, if you help enough other people get what they want” - in such a case, helping to pay forward the lessons so others may know how to succeed here... :-)

Good post first read the article and than comment 😊

I actually thought the "nice post" as a comment is one of the norms in the steemit realm. Thanks for the heads-up, though!

Hahaha, hope you share this post wherever you see those nice post comments hahaha

@jaraumoses That "nice post" can be so annoying...it happens all the time, I see it a whole lot. I've come to realise that making good comments helps so if you can't do it just "take a glimpse and fly away from the post".

Hahaha this is true, just ignore the post and run.

"take a glimpse and fly away from the post".

If you upvote me I'll give you some helpful info. ;)

Nevermind it's a scam except for the sbd maybe.

You just gave me an eye opener @jaraumoses. Being a newbie that just made his introduceyourself post am able to discover how relevant and important commenting on another person's post is.... Am looking forward to discover more from bosses here...
Thanks for this...

The secret of growing fast here as a newbie is helpful commenting,am happy you have benefited from this post.

If you learn how to comment, you willl surely meet success on Steemit.

Thanks for this lesson moses. You are an asset to the steemit community

It's true I have also come across these generic comments. At times many content creators always look forward to getting feedback. They are interested in knowing how the article they published helped you, inspired you or challenged you.
Generic comments really depict what you have stressed out exactly....carelessness, laziness and poor commitment.

Therefore from this post I think I can always value the content creators by fully reading their articles but also respecting myself, that after taking time to read through the article, I comment appropriately and not just for the sake.
Thanks #jaraumoses.
Thumbs up for you.

Its great you have learned a great deal from my post, always leave such thoughtful comments on people's blogs and you will have an easy time on Steemit

I think the main tactic is to read and understand, than share your real opinion, that's really meaningful. Most of those who don't read the story/article can be easily spotted.

But no doubts, I agree with you, pointed methods are a way faster and results will be faster as well :)

Thanks for sharing! :) Upvoted!

I am happy you understood clearly what the post was about and you can try the methods and see the reults for yourself.

I'm glad someone said it! comments like those come off as shallow and it's so obviously insincere, you just know it's only a solicitation to reciprocate.

I had to put it in a post to vent out my anger on this guys who post generic commments.
Most of this guys beg even for votes!

you speak the absolute truth man, i personally have earned from commenting on peoples post .... it all boils down to paying good attention to the post and understanding that the writer is really saying but its a pity many resolve to generic comments that could be harmful to their reputation... hanks for this amazing post ..

The World is Yours

This is such a beautifully written and nicely edited post. Thanks a lot for this.

I am a newbie here and also putting a lot of effort into networking through commenting. Good I came across this and got to know more about better way of commenting.

Thanks for appreciating and hope you apply the methods.
Commenting is the first step all new people must learn on Steemit.

I love your initiative to deliver this info. Actally like me i support your idea of thanking the author and creating that relationship.
Thank you jarau.

Great piece you have drafted out, even before reading this, I have always seen people who comment with one or two words as spam - they just want to mark register😂 . I believe with this tips, newbies like I will understand better. I will resteem this too to help others.

Yeah, I am recalling the commentor who posts one non-specific "nice post" then says, in effect, "I just commented on yours, so now you owe me a follow, a comment, an upvote and a resteem."

I usually ignore it, but I certainly feel like replying "Are you kidding me?"
