RE: How Do Steemit Followers Compare to YouTube and Instagram Followers?

in #steemit6 years ago

I love this post. Steemit is a community as opposed to just trying to get the most people. I tend to follow people that I am similar ideas, thoughts, articles, goals or make a connection with. The difference is that your fellow Steemians will coach and support you so that you can be successful on this platform.

For these reasons, I had already followed you after one of your previous articles.

aww thanks @juliabreheny! I'm so glad to hear that you connected with this post too. I think the whole approach of this place is so much better geared towards community.

Did you know that on instagram you can actually purchase thousands of followers? That's why sometimes you'll see people with 50k followers - and only 1 or 2 comments on their posts. What's the point of that? Usually it's because they want to attract add revenue. Luckily, we can monetize our content in other ways so having the "biggest following" doesn't really matter as much.

Thanks for chiming in and adding to the conversation!
