I don't use them often because I generally trust folks to be honest.
It's a character flaw of mine that when I project, it's expecting good from people, and rarely have folks lived up to my expectations.
So, every now and then I like to just check facts on my own.
I thought I noticed something out of whack in my author rewards, the math was soooo far off that it stuck out enough for me to notice.
Here, I will illustrate.
0.875 SD, 13.890 STEEM, and 21.705 STEEM POWER
This is my reward for a comment.
IF the Steem Power represents half of the author rewards then the other two should add to equal 21.705 Steem.
Further, if .875SD is equal to 13.890 that equals an exchange rate of 15.874.
This means that the exchange rate is not very fresh, as the internal price has been below .12 for some time.
IF we presume that each adds to the left half of the author awards then we can double the Steem and it should match the SP on the right, right?
13.89x2=27.84
Clearly not equal to the right side of the equation.
What is going on here?
0.025 SD, 0.456 STEEM, and 0.686 STEEM POWER
0.003 SD, 0.067 STEEM, and 0.100 STEEM POWER
0.003 SD, 0.069 STEEM, and 0.103 STEEM POWER
Seems like a running theme to me.
The exchange rate is way out of whack and the math of double the left equals the right is off, too.
Care to respond, and/or explain why my math is wrong?
Lol, I meant for you to plug in your numbers to demonstrate that your math is off, too.
We can see how many views your post gets,....
It'll be an experiment,...
Do oh! Will try edit with my steemit brake down.
Ok, acidyo has broken down the numbers but I haven't finished crunching them.
Srry that i could not help. But it was not with out effort. Lol
You have helped,...thanks.
Thank you for bringing this to the playing field.

You forgot the curation rewards paid in SP to your upvoters.
