This IS How I STEEMIT - My YOUTUBE Walkthrough For My SUBSCRIBERS - 📷 [Video inside]

So many emails with questions from my subscribers on how to get started with steemit requires me to do this video. I understand that change can be difficult and new technology can be hard to understand. Some of this has led to frustration with signups and getting an account on this platform.

So this video is going to address the sign up issue and explain some of that. I HOPE that this issue is being addressed as many are being turned away and FIRST IMPRESSIONS are important. Many BIG youtubers (bigger than me) are coming to Steemit and bringing their subs with them and many of those subs are being turned away because of complications of signing up. I'm confident that highly intelligent people are working on this problem.

Second I show a couple of Steem applications that I use on a regular basis when posting to steemit and interacting with its community. It doesn't matter what your interest is, there is a place at Steemit for everyone.

STEEM ON!

I agree with the statement that the steemit is a platform for every one...

I had no idea you guys were on steemit, been watching you videos for a couple years. Following!

Thanks for watching! It means a lot!

I really like steemnow, new tool to make steemit more enjoyable. Especially the upvote calculator! I'm glad I can contribute my $0.06! @ironshield

Wow!

I've been subscribed to your YouTube for a while now. I saw your videos on Steemit and decided to sign up, but I was having trouble figuring it all out. I was looking through your blog and found this post. It made it so simple.

You are not only helping me get started in homesteading, but now your helping me get started on social media.

THANKS!

Great to have you aboard! One thing about steemit, you get out of it what you put into it! ENJOY! HAVE FUN!

My voting power gets depleted very quickly at 2% per vote (I like to upvote). How much Steem Power is needed to to adjust voting weight? @ironshield

I think you need to get to 500 SP before you get the slider.

At this stage Zach I would convert all steem cash into power. That way you can up vote supporter accounts. They in turn convert their cash into power. Then you make money upvoting each other.

I promised myself that for the first two months, whatever I made in crypto, would stay in crypto. So I have bought Steem power, a couple other alt-coins and I invested in bitconnect. Earn crypto, don't buy crypto. :)

That was a nice introduction video. If people can treat their Steemit account like their homestead, everyone will be better off in the long run. If folks build their Steem Power, relationships, and supporting each other, it's like building productive capacity of a homestead. But if folks see Steemit as simply a cash out opportunity, keeping their voting power low, it will be like destroying the soil on a homestead from harvesting crops and not putting anything back in.

Homesteaders should get this better than a lot of new folks on Steemit, so I'm glad they are coming over here in bigger numbers.

Totally true! You get out of it what you put in and homesteaders understand this!

I have watched many of your videos on YouTube.
I am new to Steemit and have been trying to figure this out.
This has helped me out tremendously....Upvoted and followed!
Wonderful post!

THanks! Welcome to steemit!

Thank You for doing this Zac! Resteemit for everybody!

AMEN SIS!!! Do not forget your pat on the back!! God Bless.

Thanks for the explanation--it helped us understand a little better! We heard about SteemIt based on your recommendations, and sometimes it feels like a game I don't feel like playing, haha. Our focus on the homestead is in getting things established in real life here, so much of our online work is tertiary sideline stuff--having an opportunity to have it potentially support the homestead, even if it's just a fraction of an amount, is helpful. You can only spread yourself so far! So having videos like yours makes our time a little more efficient.

Even so, I feel a little funny about the automatic vote bot-thing. I totally get the rationale behind it, if you look at this thing as a game and are leveling up. For some, that strategy gets their message further and helps support the smaller content creators, so this is not a commentary on them morally. For me, since I know that my votes probably will never hold much weight, nor my articles gain a huge following, I would only want to vote on articles I'd actually read. I may never be a heavy-hitter, but I value the interaction with other homesteaders so much more than gaining traction in popularity. So many ways to approach this online world! I'm glad that, at the end of the day, I can head outside and breathe the real air and close the computer. :)

At the end of the day, you have to just stop and live life. Just blogging about it will get you nowhere. :)

Very nice video. Just to let you know I'm here because of you. Thank you Zack Its been a really good change. I hope that everybody join us.

Thanks, Zach. This helps. I never really came here to earn money necessarily, I followed you here because I like your content and I thought I'd try to help make sure you get paid for the things that the Tube was stopping you from getting paid on. The achocha has climbed the 8 foot fence on the property line, so far. Maybe I will get a little this year.

YAY! We will be doing an achocha video here shortly. Our is growing NUTZ!

Looking forward to it. Man, all that rain just ruined my tomato success. I think I told you that I do those Earth buckets above ground. They were looking really good when I made that post on here with pictures, but after 13 days with rain each day, they started basically melting. Even cucumbers turned yellow.

8 foot fence! Yep, youll get some!

Thanks Zach for the SteemIt video, it made more sense how you presented it versus just reading about it.

Thanks! I apprrciate it. Thanks for watching!

So new to this! Thank you, this was most helpful and insightful.

Youre welcome. Thanks for watching.

I prefer to watch your videos on my Roku, but I can't thank you enough for suggesting Steemit! Steem On!

Happy to help and thanks for watching! It means a lot.

I like the way u present topics. Would u consider making a different channel with how to on crypto currency and navigating steemit. I've tried to watch YouTube videos but they don't seem to drive the point home like you.

Man, I'm taxed out as it is.

I understand that. Do u have recommendations? Who did u watch?

I'm so glad you made this video. It is not only very helpful for new comers, but also people like me! I've been meaning to check into SteemVoter, so it was so nice to see and hear your methods. Going there now, to set that one up. :-)

Yeah, for being a free program, its really helped add some steem power to my account.

I set up an account as I watched this video haha. It's been slow learning but getting there

Hey Zac, Thanks for taking the time to explain some of how you do steemit. I don't know what it is, but I got more info from your video just then that i could actually follow then i did from any of the other videos i watched. thanks for all you do to help out those of us that just barely get by with computers....

Glad I can help! Thanks for watching!

Zach, this video is very reason I now have a steemit account. I've watched it twice already. I love how you stated that your channel will still be about homesteading, but I think steemit can work well as a part of many people's homestead journey, including mine. Thank you for all the great information you share.
P.S. Of course my first comment ever on steemit had to be on your video :)

Found your YouTube video on steemit and just got signed up! I've been following you since your season 2 :-) My family and I really enjoy your videos!

Wow! Great breakdown of what you exactly, thank you! @mericanhomestead

good information!

nice ,it will help new ones like me to learn more.i think i will resteem to my followers.

Thank you for this. And thank you for the information on steemvoter.com. From your video I signed up and hope to have it going soon!

Thanks Zac! For those concerned about using your cellphone and privacy, I have a friend who used a Google Voice number to register. Also, I'd be interested in opinions on couples registering separately (once registration is worked out) to support each other??

I think couples having separate accounts is fine. Yeah, you could have one person doing twice the work (post, then comment), but the work is still being done by someone... And that same person could probably get just as much money (author & curation) by doing the work just on one account. :-)

Thank you. Definitely a lot easier to understand than some of the other things I have come across.

very informative! Thanks for the rundown to better understanding this!

Thank you for this video!! I missed your live stream this week but watched it on sunday and when you mentioned you'd be doing this video I thought 'YES finally a steemit video from someone I trust and can easily follow'!!!!

Awesome post ... upvoted and resteemed!

@mericanhomestead I find your videos informative and wished more people steemedit. Please explain if there is an easier way to search for steemit users and searching a certain subject. If it is only from drill down on a subject, this is what Steemit must change to get the youtube and facebook community to switch to steemit.

Cảm ơn vì video của bạn.Nó giúp tôi hiểu hơn nhiều về Steemit.Mong rằng sẽ có nhiều video như thế này để giúp cộng đồng có thêm thông tin và hiểu rõ hơn về Steemit.
