It was awkward, emotional and tiring; I've just finished my ophthalmology research department presentation. It has been an emotional roller coaster not because I'm being scolded or anything, but I failed to make my audience understand the concept that I would like them to. Well, it's quite expected since my research involved mobile application development and all of the attended professors came from a medical background, and they were not quite familiar with the terminologies used in the presentation. It's like a cat trying to explain how delicious a mouse is to a dog. I'm lucky that I have a kind and understanding supervisor. She treats us all to a cup of chocolate ice blended while we're discussing the future of our research.
When I get home and take a look at the wallet section to claim any pending SBD rewards, I'm shocked. I thought I had 8 Steem in my wallet, but now the number has increased to 58. Soon I realised that I'd won a contest which I joined last week which is held by @originalworks. I pinched my cheek a few times, and it felt painful "Gosh, this is not a dream". Lucky me I guess.
I would like to thank on.live and @originalworks for this experience, and I hope this contest will continue to be held in the future. It gives you the opportunity to discover your talent and at the same time improve your writing skills.
