Quality content and the search thereof.

in #steemit6 years ago

So I like Steemit. It's been 2 weeks now I have been playing around, trying to build a bit of a following and get to know some people as things go along.

Trying to make sense of what it really is that people are interested in, what the main topics are that are followed, upvoted, resteemed etc is proving to be slightly challenging. There does not seem to really be a rhyme or reason day to day. So I thought, let's see what Google has to say on that topic.

Well, let's just say that shy of finding an adult entertainment forum where I can network with the Stars and use their imagery on here, nudity and porn is a no go for me. Thereafter, things get tricky. Social media and news trend high up and along with the news comes specific searches according to what tends to trend there. Music is high up on the list, music is one of those things that tends to relate across cultures well, so that is logical in its own way.

An interesting finding I had is that food content tends to do quite well on Steemit. I like food, baking bread and other odd things is something I like, so that's an option.

It makes me realise that finding an avenue on content related to popularity is really difficult. Finding something to post on Steemit to attract readers, followers and people who will actually like the content is tough. So basically, what I have learnt?

Keep trying!
