How Steemit changed my life

in #steemit4 years ago

This is not going to be one of those stories where I should talk how beautiful place this is, where everything is perfect, behind the rainbow with flying unicorns while money and chocolate falling from the sky. So, you can safely put away your vomiting bags.

I want to share one realistic view on how this place had impact on how I live today.

Why now?

Honestly, it was a while since I wrote my last post because I didn't have much time to write here, but don't think that I wasn't keeping my eye on Steemit and what's going on, on a daily basis. I think that this platform needs its community now maybe more than ever - I can feel enthusiasm in the crypto world, because of the upcoming BTC halving, BTC is again (in this moment) above 10k, alts are starting to slowly pumping and STEEM pushed through its resistance on $0.15 after a long time but still remained under the radar as a falling giant and don't have enough space in relevant talks.

Crypto community usually look at you as an idiot when you tell them that you hodl STEEM.

Do the have right?

I don't know, but I still believe in an oldschool way of analysis which says that if you have a good, functional project it's just a matter of time (and marketing) when it will gain value. I see a lot of guys here sharing their stories on how Steemit impacted their lives and I think that it's a really nice initiative that needs to continue so I decided to join the club.

So far I did a lot to raise awareness about Steem blockchain in a world around me, believe me.

Won't making this story long - this was the first, literally the first project that connected me with the crypto. It connected me at the moment when I was complete stranger with a lot of people from this sphere and helped me to gain some basic knowledge.

Yes, a lot of things I had to learn by myself, but won't forget where I took my baby steps.

Today, I'm working for one crypto exchange, became an investor for a multiple projects, learned technical analysis and started trading which brings me decent amount of money so I can live out of it. That's my life today and all of that started here and I'm a bit sorry because I can't spend more time here doing what I was doing when I joined this community.

At this moment I don't give a f about the price, neither I'm concerned what will Steemit do in the future - I just want to pay honour for this place and to give back some value to it when I grab a chance.

And actually my whole journey is described in my another post and I find this a pretty good moment to recycle it here:

Also in a month it will be my second anniversary, so here is another reason for sharing this.

We'll see what will happen in this 2020, I'm personally very optimistic.

Should I be?
