Eat Well
A healthy, well-balanced diet is important to anyone but for those fighting cancer it is vital to provide the body with the nutrients that it needs to keep energy levels high and fight off the disease. Studies show that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can have a direct impact on fighting breast cancer whilst green, leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale can help speed up liver and kidney function and detoxification which means emitting chemotherapy quickly so that they cause as little disruption as possible in the way of painful side effects.
The Magical Power Of Tea
When stress hormones spike due to any anxiety – yes, you can do something. Make yourself a cup of Calm Tea, sit quietly and Breathe with Purpose.
Remember To Take A Break
Take a break from the mundane. Shut down your multi-media, social networking, and go be with yourself doing nothing. You don’t have to meditate, do yoga, exercise, lift weights, or catch up with an old friend. Just be with yourself until you re-enter your body, the present, and realize Life.
Write Down Reasons It Was Worth Getting Out Of Bed
Believe that we are all together in this journey and that our gifts and talents become amplified when we face life’s challenges. It is up to all of us who have come through a painful experience to use what we have learned to make the trip a little easier for those who come after us. Sharing your experience is one of the greatest gifts you can give to the world.
Build Your Own “Emergency Care Wall”
For all the personal emergencies you might have, make a list of all your favorite movies, keep a list of friends to call, and a box of items to help you relax.
Remind Yourself Of All The Wonderful Things You Are Going To Experience
Breast cancer treatment changes our bodies as well as our minds. But we learn that our body is stronger than we could have ever imagined. We no longer take for granted those days when we were strong enough to walk miles through the woods or stroll on the beach. We gain a deeper empathy for others who are recovering from illness, surgery or facing a serious illness.
Take Out All The Toxic Things In Your Life
There is a strong link between environmental toxins and cancers. Toxins are stored in organs and tissues. Sluggish lymphatic flow is a hindrance regarding detoxification capacity. Tight clothing and bras (esp. in the armpit area) diminish lymphatic flow in the breast area.
Get Some Sleep
Kick back and have a calming, yet refueling snooze. It will actually wake you up. Make you feel better, boost your energy, memory, and alertness.
Do Some Yoga
Yoga is a practice that has been around for centuries, and to this day, people are finding more and more benefits to doing this regularly. It’s even come to the point that it’s used in conjunction with different types of therapy to deal with emotional difficulties.
Don’t Forget To Breathe
It is important for everyone’s health to at least look at developing a breathing practice. What I mean by that is to look at all the amazing benefits of breathing fully and consciously. We really do not think about breathing. Breathing just is: no thought required but just imagine if you did give it thought. What would happen? Well lots would happen toward building a better and healthy life.
