I'm not scared. I've recently found Steemit and I love it.
Now I need to learn how to make content that will grab attention and give me some momentum in the steemit community.
Find your niche and create, network, and post something everyday. I've witnessed several people start with no investment and through a lot of hard work have built their account value and followers up considerably. There is a learning curve to the STEEM network. So it may take a bit of time to soak it all in.
Also, read the STEEM bluepaper. It is a quick read. STEEM is more than just a social network platform.

Why a sudden decline in prices?
This always happens in the end of the year. Every year btc drops. Altcoins follow. Every december or the beginning of january. People cash out for holidays i suppose. Panic sellers following them and then it happens.
A correction was due. Bitcoin and altcoins have gone parabolic in the last six weeks. Just find the coin/token/project you love and accumulate it until you have your desired amount.
