Greetings again, fellow members of the Steemian community. Over the past few days I have posted comments very similar to this post in response to people complaining about the SteemIt platform. So, I am going to post this just one last time to my blog for consideration and drop this unsolicited advice like a bad habit (I won't bring it up again).
I came here to introduce content creators that I know to a value for value exchange platform. Period. I consider my mission largely successful and in general find myself enjoying this community and the thought they put in to posts and comments.
Facts
Proposed solutions discussion around proposals have value. Identifying issues has value. Complaining provides no value and only sours things. Admittedly, we all do it to a degree but should be cognisant of it so it does not become toxic.
If a post nets 0.30 steem, that is 0.30 steem more than one would make directly on the book of faces or tweeterland.
This platform affords amazing opportunities for anyone willing to make the investment into providing value to the community.
Explanation
Here's my chance! I get to play the role of Caption Obvious and maybe just maybe help one more person out. .
After very little time, thought or consideration, I determined being super successful on steem was a skill. I'm certain @teotwawkiman would agree with me... Skills take an investment in time and interest to master. To be brutally honest, I am probably not going to make the investment into mastering SteemIt myself as I am not too big on social media.
That being said, learning to quickly master skills is a skill that I hold.
Approach
Who / What
Look at the profiles and posts of top earners. I would look for commonalities between the way they format their posts and what types of engagement methods they used. What tags did they use?When
I would find out when most of my followers were online and post during those times.How
I would begin emulating the successes of others. Not content but the lessons learned in step #1 and insights gained through general observation on the community.
Keep all content positive and focussed on providing value.
Pay it back. I would support other users and groups such as the minnow support gig or whatnot.
- Why
It's obvious and proven psychology. People enjoy interacting with positive people who provide value. I have never seen anyone following a similar continuous improvement approach fail. The goals might change but they continue to adapt and grow. Resilient people enjoy success.
The victim mentality has to go. Do the work and enjoy the success regardless of the obstacle or fork type.

Agreed brother. Thank you for the mention also. It takes time money and a whole lot of planning. But I am very satisfied with steemit and of course my followers and followings. Ex. 92 upvotes here=roughly $200 to $300 depending on the value of steem and powers of voters. 92 views on youtube= $0 and not even a comment. The love here is amazing and the money isnt even really a thing to me. It's the friends I make. Steem on brother!
Absolutely! With Google's change to the YouTube monetization, even old hats with professional quality studios are having to setup patreon accounts or membership programs.
Getting paid is a side effect of providing value. Now, knowing where to invest your time to add value and maximize your returns... Well, that's a much tougher egg for each individual has to figure out crack. You can get help but in the end, each of us has that puzzle to solve for themselves.
