RE: My BEAUTIFUL little EMPATH...

in #steemit6 years ago

Damn, I think I'm an empath as well.. I used to cry about everything as a kid, even if, or especially, when it was something someone else experienced. I never knew there was a term that described this but I think the description of your son was basically me as a kid xD. I will definitely check that article out later! Being an empath definitely makes you different but over time you get better at dealing with emotions and it becomes more of a special feature to your life ;)

Yes, do read it! It is quite an eyeopener @tripswithtam :)

It can be very challenging at times, but it does get easier with age... and I most definitely do consider it a gift in my life and I know it will be in his too. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on the article once done reading it...

I just read the article. It is kind of mindblowing to find the correlations between the "typical" empath and yourself. From that huge list at the end, everything but maybe five points suited me. It would be interesting to know how an empath can work on themselves so that they don't turn other people's emotions into their own. I would love to work with people and study Psychology because other people's stories fascinate me, but there is that problem of sympathizing too much and making their emotions your own..
Thanks for sharing! :)

Pleasure :)
