It was hard to find that fairness factor due to past users upvoting but I figured go the random of the top 5 and definitely seen that amount of voting power used would be a losing battle for minnows so to even the playing field we decided to go the route of just awarding those that upvote the most. I would have said the top one but ties and a few already up there may make it unfair so that randomizer should encourage everyone to catch up with their upvotes. Wish you the best on this contest but remember it will be ongoing every month from now on.
