Help Make Steemit City Become Reality By Answering 5 Simple Questions!

in #steemitcity8 years ago

Hey amazing people!

@menta here, giving you the latest update on the Steemit.city project.

I've been scouting out possible locations and buildings for the project today, some amazing places have been discovered, and some great locations spotted. But walking through all these buildings I realized that we don't completely know what are needs and wants are. More importantly, where your needs and wants are.

And since the project went from concept and idea to actual work-in-progress, we decided we need the input from the Steem community to get down to the essentials for Steemit city. I created a small 5-question questionnaire that will allow us to hone down to the perfect property for the project.

Filling in this form will take less than 1 minute and is completely anonymous. You can help make Steemit.city a reality by just clicking on the link below and fill in the 1-minute form:

>>> Take me to the questionnaire <<<

To get an idea of the places we're looking at, here are two sneak previous of properties I saw today:

Do we go for a lush and green tropical setting?

Or do we go for a brand new building on a huge plot of land

Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!

The Steemit City Team

Steemit.city is a project that emerged from the minds of

while discussing their various lifestyle concerns as independent international tech entrepeneurs, and steem users, at the South-East Asian Steemit meetup after some of Siem Reap's happiest pizza.

We aim to provide low-cost, high-freedom living solutions for anyone geeky or awesome enough to give it a shot.

All proceeds from steemit.city posts go directly to steemit.city costs. We're also funding some of these costs ourselves, because we think the future's worth it.

Sort:

I answered. If SEA isn't the favorite, Ukraine is similarly cheap but with more "modern" infrastructure. I'm busy building up the connections and skill to figure out how to bring people here.

I would rather not be in Ukraine though. I remember a contractor that I hired having to run because tanks invaded his village. A bit dodgy out there. Plus, it's frickin cold! :)

A bit more south is more interesting. Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, and Bulgaria come to mind. I have connections in a few of those.

I vote for a a new building on a large plot of land... that second picture just looks awesome!

It's an incredible piece of real estate. Possibility for a makerspace, vegetable garden, and anything else we can come up with!

Why not in Auroville ?

Everything at SteemIt City can be paid for with Steem currency. I would like to network with other intentional communities like Auroville. But we are our own thing with our own purposes.

That's a bit too hippy-flower-in-hair for me and not enough technology. Where's the datacenter? Where is the (at least) 50mbps internet connection? Where are the state of the art offices?

You get my drift :)
