Don't know if I'm on the right track, but the runic characters ᛓ, ᚨ, P (with vertical line sticking out) , ᚱ seem to translate to "f""a""th""r" in English.

On the #steemitcryptochallenge chat, Tim said (ha! pun not intended) that the runes stand for numbers. I was trying to use them as letters, too.
Thanks for the tips, jfollas. So maybe the "3" is a hint that the runes stand for numbers? On this rune website, the rune symbols are paired with numbers. ᛓ = 1,ᚨ=4, ᚹ=3, ᚱ=5. If we look at the placement of the symbols, ᛓ+ᚹ=ᚨ (1+3=4), and if symmetry holds, then "?"=ᚱ=5?

That's what I was thinking. He said it's easy, maybe so simple we are over-thinking it. Last challenge I got further along to unlocking the encrypted message faster. Even with all the collective clues/guessing from evryone, I still can't piece it together.

Its a map of Bitcoin forks into new coins. First ? is Bitcoin and the bottom one is harder to tell since I am not sure where this map came from but my best guess would be Dogecoin since it looks like a split from TBX -> Litecoin ->Junkcoin-> Doge coin
If that's true I'm screwed, I don't know the history of who forked who on the bitcoin blockchain. :-D

Hi timsaid, wow, this looks really interesting and fun! I'm new to the Crypto Challenge and I don't know much about cryptography, but I do like riddles and would like to give this a try!
So, if someone thinks he found a clue, is he supposed to post to the comments section of this post? Are are we supposed to try to figure out what the two ?'s in the picture refer to and try to decrypt the coded message?
Basically when you follow all the hints and can solve them you will write a comment with the final solution

unfortunately second hint is encrypted but no password is matching when I'm trying to decrypt it. MD5 hash decryption result is Uran. Uran is part of Navi Mumbai city of Maharashtra state in Konkan division. It lies in the Raigad district, east of Mumbai across the Dharamtar Creek. Uran is primarily a fishing & agriculture village, which has developed into the special economic zone of Uran. The primary language spoken is Agri& KOLI which is a dialect of Marathi. I think I'll be able to get more if the decryption works for the second hint. Thanks
Uran could also mean Rigoberto Uran, a cyclist in the Tour de France.
Could also be German for Uranium.
This is the longest I have see a challenge go without a leap past at least the first hint. I still have no idea on the line graph image or how any of it relates.
