Hello steemians. It's been quite a while. Being a nigerian student and an entrepreneur ain't easy at all. So my time here on steemit has been limited( which I don't like, cause I feel I'm missing a lot )
As a student, electricity is the drive force that pushes you to do anything. To wake, to iron your clothes, To cook food, To even walk down to class and most especially To read.
Unfortunately, here in the university of Benin, it's been a total black out for weeks and the school is still functioning and I'm still trying to fathom how. Students have to trek kilometres away from their hostel to get water, the cafeterias have been magically turned to charging hubs, the excess heat is suffocating innocent students in their classroom, and the management of the school is yet to release any official statement concerning this anomaly.
However it can easily be deduced that the ongoing strike embarked by the Non Academic Staff Union is a major cause of this Inhumane lifestyle that the school authority has subjected students to, yet the Federal Government has failed to resolve the issues with striking staffs.
This is so unfair and unacceptable
I'm just a pained concerned Nigerian student and nothing more, Thanks for reading.
