Diamonds are seriously a girl's best friend! Who wouldn't like diamonds???!!! Everything about them screams luxury and the way they look is so breathtaking! A lot of people would really love to own one since they hold so much value as the years go by.

Diamonds are said to be the hardest stones on the planet! Yup, and since they are the hardest it also means that you cannot scratch them, unless you scratch that diamond with another one. That's how hard they are, but even though they are hard to scratch, it doesn't mean they are unbreakable. 

Diamonds are made up of carbon and come in various gorgeous colours such as pink, yellow, orange, blue, black, grey, brown, red, purple, green, white(colourless),. These enchanting stones are formed when an excessive amount of heat and pressure cause carbon atoms to crystallize far below the surface of the earth. 

Natural diamonds can take up to 1billion years and above to form and that's why they are so expensive. Scientists have now found a way to make synthetic diamonds without having to wait thousands of years for them in a process called  Chemical Vapor Deposition.
