These little growing independent souls are amazing and the knowledge they have already just astounds me! I went through that stage with my 8 year old girl when she first told me

I don’t want to wear that mommy, I picked my own clothes!

She was four when that happened. It was a bitter sweet moment for me. I partly teared up from hurt feelings that she rejected my outfit (😂) but then I stood there as a proud mommy, watching my baby girl become this independent thinker.
