The Walls Of Babylon Will No Longer Protects You.

It's been roughly 20 days since a post was last made here but as we draw towards to end of 2018 I think it's important to share this with all the Spaceforce members and the entire Steemit community.

When I first entered into business, I learned a very important lesson in a hard way - the importance of protecting what you've already earned while trying to make new ones. I was so bent on making new money and not paying enough attention to the ones I already had, then I lost them.

I was about to start crying when my mentor told me these words - the walls of Babylon will protects you. Well, those words I read them straight from the book The Richest Man In Babylon.

So what do we mean by the walls of Babylon and why won't it protect you any longer?

Babylon back many years ago is rumoured to be of the richest city in the world and in order to protect it's citizens, the authorities built strong walls to protect the riches of her citizens within those walls. Today in business circle, there are a lot of similar infrastructure to protect you like the police, security agencies, bank security systems, insurance etc.

Even though these systems are not perfect, mostly contaminated by human nature, but it has served its purpose. The police and security agencies are supposed to protect you. If you lose your earned wealth, you have plenty of options, the police can help look for the criminals, your bank can freeze and reverse a transaction if it's suspicious, even help you trace your transaction if you believe it wasn't authorized by you and finally, if you can't still get what you've lost back, then a good insurance policy will cover you.

Perfect right? Well that's what it is supposed to be and for this to work, we needed a centralized system. You have government, police and central banking systems which helps to provide these protections hence they are termed the walls of Babylon. But we are already in a decentralized monetary system and a few days ago I have a friend who got his computer hacked, password stolen and everything he's got in cryptos vanished. He ran up to me to ask who to talk to for help in getting back his funds, I told him sorry mate, the walls of Babylon will no longer protect you

Read that? Yes. It's possible that someone can lay hands on your passwords and wipe away everything you've laboured for and you won't have anyone to run to because we are in a decentralized world where no agency can reversed a transaction for you.

We all know how it's easy for a thief to generate any cryptocurrency anonymous account within few minutes and can transfer all your funds without leaving any trace to his real identity.

Be assured that this post was not made with any intention to scare you but rather to let you see things as they are. Since the walls of Babylon will no longer protect you, you have to build your own walls and protect what is valuable to you.

In cryptocurrency, you are solely responsible for the security and protection of your digital arrests.

Take the security of your cryptos seriously. I'm not here to teach you how to secure your world, I'm not an expert myself but just to make you know how vulnerable you are and how you can lost everything you have without anyone being able to help.

Ensure to keep very important passwords in cold storage - off the computer and internet. Your emails is never protected enough to keep your master passwords. Also have a 2FA verification for important apps, emails and site. Don't leave your keys in your phone or pc copy/paste clipboard, today I saw someone pasted his Steem master key in a group chat because it has been on the clipboard and he's forgotten it was there.

Take sometimes to always learn about cyber security and how to protect yourself from attacks. Have backup plans and know that in the world of online security, the attacks are regularly getting sophisticated therefore update your security knowledge daily to keep up.

And most important too, remember that we might have moved to an online world but attacks can still include someone putting a gun on your head, and asking you to give the passwords to your crypto wallet. No amount of internet security will protect you in this case if you wanna walk out alive, therefore be smart for instance spread your assets in different wallets not linked to each other.

I hope this opened your eyes to see the true state of a decentralized world now. We all wanted to be our own boss, now also be your own police. Remember, in crypto world, the walls of Babylon will no longer protects you, so build your own wall and protect yourself.

Tank you very much for this, before I do play with my password and other items I use on line but with this I now know it worth.

Thieves have many tactics that they can find many ways of embezzlement of resources, a computing passwd or a lot of time can be heard by hacking from many banks and taking money. @steemjet
