First SPI Token off platform investment will be made on Sunday

in #steemleo5 years ago (edited)

Hello, i hope everyone day is going well. Today i will be mostly talking about off platform investments to first one will be happening this weekend. Today i am roughly going to talk through the process and then on Sunday i will make the first off platform investment and made a post to confirm the transaction on Monday.

Steem powered investments @spinvest has been set up to offer an investment fund based on funding from STEEM POWER. Investments are funded through extracting value out of STEEM POWER and taking advantage of STEEM's high inflation rate. The aim is not to get rich quick; the aim is to build a safe portfolio of investments that will stand the test of time while insuring all investors starting capital is not at risk. Full details can be found here

Before i get into the post properly, i would like to ask anyone that as already invested are is interested in keeping up to date with SteemPower Investment to slap that 'follow' button. Also, free feel to resteem this post are you are very welcome to write your own post about what you think about SteemPower Investments and SPI tokens.

First off platform investment

Around 1 week ago i set a target for SPI to make 50 STEEM by the 15th July so that we could make are first investment and i am able to show investors the process from start to finish before . Staying true to my word, we will not only hit the target of 50 STEEM but instead have 60 STEEM when the next lease payment comes which is 20% more than i guessed.

Target - 50 STEEM
Investment - Bitcoin
When - 15th July

During each step of the process of converting our STEEM into Bitcoin i will take a screenshot. The Bitcoin will then be sent to a paper wallet and stored completely offline. On the following day i will release a post to confirm the investment has been made and provide a receipt for all investors with proof anything is above board and recorded on the blockchain. 50 STEEM is not alot of money but it's a tester before we go bigger and hopefully its adds more trust to my name.

Other types of investments

Ok, how long is a piece of string? Now this is something that will change over time as different markets act in different ways. Remember the idea for SPI is to get rich slowly so safe investments are key and if we can compound them down, even better. Im not interested in finding a unicorn are that needle in a hay stack investment. Im interested in cherry picking the best time proven investments.

  • Cryptos
First and foremost, lets get cryptos out of the way. In my head i am thinking only Bitcoin and maybe Litecoin maybe. Those are the 2 best long term investments in cryptoland. Why chase a x40-100 crypto dream when we all know both of these will at least x5 in the next 5 years. Cherry picking is key and all crypto would be stored offline either on a paper wallet are a crypto USB drive.

  • Precious metals
I love my precious metals and im good with almost anything from gold and silver to copper and platinum. Precious metals have a proven history of keeping up with inflation and are recommended to be a part of any portfolio. Silver right now is very undervalued with a gold to silver ratio of over 90 to 1 at the minute which is highest it has been in years and i mean years. The plan here would be to create an account with the Royal Mint in the UK and have them store our metals for us. The costs is 1% plus vat (20%) per year. This has to be paid quarterly are late fees occur.

  • Stocks
Again, cherry picking and keeping it simple. I would suggest the FTSE 100 tracker as it consistently avgs out at around 6% per year. Of course, its not 6% very year but its avgs out to around that if you look over the past 5, 10, 20 are even 50 years so i consider it time proven over the likes of todays tech stocks. This would be set through youinvest.co.uk which is the website for AJ Bell investments which is one of biggest and most trusted stock brokers in the UK. The fees are on the lower side and im used to the platform.

  • Passive incomes
Any passive incomes made by @spinvest will be small as it's really hard to build up a big passive income with small money. The steem-engine wallet is the first one that comes to mind, we'll soon be earning leo and pal tokens which can both be staked.
I have done P2P lending in the past and it worked out very well for me. In a nutshell, we fill a loan request and get the capital plus interest paid back every week/month until the loan is paid back fully. There are a few of these sites out there and alot are connected to 'payday' loans which rip people off. There are others based on properly buying, loaning money for business start ups and a few that require people that require loans to provide collateral. These could be good for compounding and introduction offers can sometimes earn you 10-15% in your first year.
Premium bonds in the UK offer a no risk gamble and backed by the government so they are safe as houses. The idea behind them is they pay out 3% per year but instead of paying everyone 3% on their holdings they pool all the interest money together and draw it off lotto style. Each premium bond costs £1 and is the same as 1 ticket and when you wonna cash in, you sell back for £1. You only make money if your lucky and you win prizes which start from £50 upto £1 Million (4.1 million STEEM).
There are many other ways to earn passive income and these can be explored as time goes by

These are just a few ideas and i think it would be good to found a good base of mixed investments and then just stack on them. If you have any suggestions are things i should look into, please comment below.

Before any investments are done, i need to sell SPI Tokens

Before we get theball growing properly i need to sell some SPI Tokens. You can buy them directly from me for 1 STEEM each are buy them from the ever popular steem-engine exchange for 1.02 STEEM each. The more eyes that see my posts they quicker everyone makes more money faster.
Right now, each SPI token costs 1 STEEM but when 10,000 are issued, the token will be revalued and prop never cost 1 STEEM again. With the way SPI is set up, the price should only go up and never drop under 1 STEEM. There are around 5000 tokens sold so far in the first 12 days so it might be a good time to buy them while they are this cheap. 100 SPI tokens would only cost you $28 and they be worth much more some day. Im long about long term investing and growing our money up strong. You can send any amount of STEEM you like to @spinvest and you will receive the same amount in SPI shares up to 2 decimals. All SPI tokens (shares) will be transferred to investor’s steem-engine accounts within 24 hours of sale completion .

Convert other steem-engine tokens to SPI tokens

Most of us by now earn a few different tokens through other steem front ends are have been airdropped tokens during launch ect. I have wrote a step by step post that shows anyone how to convert other steem-engine tokens into SPI tokens. You can learn how by clicking here

Resteeming is a wonderful way to spread the word and get as many eyes as possible on this. Let's get a buzz going

So about a year ago everyone got a byteball wallet and some free coins... Now "Obyte" steem attestation contracts are coming up on their 1 year open date.....

Lets all trade in our unlocked Obyte for SPI!!!!

(My Dark wallet died with my phone months ago, But Osiris' Wallet will unlock on the 16th)

I remember this, damn was that a year ago?

Just checked my wallet, i have 220k worth $6 which would be 20 SPI's. Thats is an excellent idea my friend and i'll deffo drop a post soon about that. I can make so that people just send me all their Byte and i'll convert them into SPI's making it easy for everyone. Damn, really good idea man. Thank you,im gonna use it :)

That's a great idea, I'd happily trade those obytes in for SPI tokens. Sign me up.

I have over 732 million in my wifes contract to turn into SPI.... Too bad my wallet got wiped when my phone took a swim. I had over 1.5 Gbyte

Hey, i found $140 worth of future tokens in my wallet, lmao.

Thanks @darkmrmystic

Just looking again, i have 2 addresses on byte and have around 500k on total :D

Really love the idea behind your project and have bought 50 shares so far. Like you, I think passive investments are the best. Plenty of options on chain. Aside from the SP leases, the miner tokens would be a good option, and also investing in steemmonsters cards and leasing them out.

Love what you are doing here, but I would be interested to hear about contingency plans. Don't want to jinx anything, but is there a backup plan incase something happens to you? This investment requires trust in you and knowing the plan B will give more peace of mind.

Cheers,

John.

Thanks for the great comment. I have been looking into these miners token and im not sure, im dont know that much to be honest but the steem-engine wallet is a bonus and they a deffo something for me to look into further. I own a few steemmonster cards and i've had a load up for lease for the longest time with no joy so im not sure. As far as passive incomes, i'd be on the market for something you can invest in and then just collect money, no needing to track things to make pennys but i love that your giving me ideas and things to think about. I'll deffo look more into miner tokens as there is some buzz around them now, let's see how they are priced and performing in a few months :)

As far as a Plan B should something happen to me, there is none. I am in the process of writing up a terms and conditions agreement that will include everything . It's a work in process and i would guess it'll take me a few weeks to get it right. I dont wonna post it and then have to go back and make changes. I have people i can trust that are on steemit.

For the #steemsilvergold community i have done lots of group crypto buys and we run a smartnode as well. I hold all the crypto's for this and the Plan B here is if i die, the USB i use store all the private keys, phrases, bot accounts, will be sent to another steemsilvergold member that has already been picked and veirfed with other members. I would think that if something happen to me, A usb drive containing all Private keys, investment log ins, ect ect will be sent to another trusted memebr to either cash up are carry on.

ps, i have a small black book i update every year with all my details for everything from my email log in details to my life insurance policy details. The wife and kids are aware of my death book and they are aware they might need to send some things out.

Thanks for your supportive comment John and investing some of your hard earned STEEM into this long term project.

Jonny

That all sounds like a reasonable starting point. I haven't played with leasing SM cards, just throwing it out there. I'm enjoying the LEO miners, they are at a price that fits my budget and easy passive return. I can't give you a guide to the returns, as I get curation and post payouts also and I haven't bothered to work out what they are all for.

Looking forward to watching this program grow and develop, and will definitely accumulate more shares over time.

Cheers.

John.

Im not down for leasing SM cards but looking at todays prices, good money could have made if cheaper cards were bought around month back. Lots were selling for 4-5 cents and are now 10-16 cents. Not bad money but volume would pay off.

Ive started looking into miners tokens last night and but i could found much solid information about all the different types.

Thanks for your support man, lets make some money

It's an exciting time with the first buy on the horizon. Need to get some more gains to throw into the project.
Passive income sources on steem-engine could be palmm tokens and leomm tokens. Basically lottery miners for the tokens and both ate reasonably low cost.
Some other options could be placing some crypto buys into trusted and tested faucet service that pay an interest rate on balances. I know of at least one that does 4%.
I am sure other ideas will come as well as converting our metals holdings from silver to gold in time.
Thanks for sharing!!

I had a look into these miner tokens last night and to be honest, i just dont see them making money. It's ok to make tokens but if they are worthless, whats the point. I'd rather go with something that offering 6-10% a year that been regulated. The steem-engine wallet is a freebie so i prob will get some to mix it up and make an interesting post about but i would not really wonna be spending money earned from leasing SP for them.

Once it starts to grow, people will be suggesting everything and the problem will be which one's tp pick. haha.

T-minus 30 hours till out 1st investment my friend :)
