A new version of SteemPeak is now available and we are happy to announce that this is the first release including some new features funded using the Steem Proposal System. If you want to check it out we have already submitted a second proposal that we hope you will like.
You can support our second proposal here or using this direct link.
The new release is now live at https://steempeak.com
1. New Reward Options for Posts: Burn and Donate to SPS
The main new features are related to our first proposal and will enable two new reward options when publishing a new post: Burn and Donate to SPS.
The funding period ended today and the proposal has been almost completely funded (details can be checked on the @peak.proposals account we use as the proposal receiver). Considering that it is the first proposal submitted we decided to unlock all the stretch goals also if we didn't hit the 250 SBD target ;)
The new reward options are available now in the Publish page:
When one of these new options is selected the corresponding accounts (@null or @steem.dao) will be added as the beneficiary of the post. Mixing with other beneficiaries is also allowed.
2. Highlight post payout with burned or donated rewards
As stated in the proposal there are now some new icons to highlight posts with payout burned or donated to the SPS. The new icons will be shown only if the beneficiary percentage is greater (or equals) than 50%.
3. Improvements in the beneficiary popup
The beneficiary popup has been enhanced to include the @null and @steem.dao accounts as quick links. Also it's now possible to directly set the percentage (not available on mobile yet).
4. More details in the Proposals page
The Proposals page has been improved to show some more information and should be now better organized. Also 'expired' proposals (proposal with an end date in the past) have a dedicated section.
5. Update account profile with keychain
It's finally possible to update the account profile metadata with Steem Keychain. Took a bit to complete this one because the same operation is handled differently on SteemConnect and Keychain.
6. A new tribe is now enabled
The Build-It tribe is now enabled.
Full Release Note:
Other than the major changes described above there are other small fixes and improvements. This is the full list:
- New Reward Options for Posts: Burn and Donate to SPS
- Highlight post payout with burned or donated rewards
- Improvements in the beneficiary popup

I only discovered Steempeak about a month ago and already, it is the best. It is fantastic that even though you are sitting on the best UX around that you are still trying to constantly improve. Well done :)
Wow, great Work guys. We hope you will keep doing these amazing things to make steem a better place.
Thank you very much ;)
Great job guys. Steempeak s the Best.
What about the 100% Steem Power? Maybe it also deserves an additional distinction.
Tried but decided to remove it before the release. That details is already available in the payout tooltip:
But how to receive the payout is an author choice that does not affect the whole platform and we decided to avoid another icon/color for that.
In my opinion, it does. I used to use it in the past, but you can't see it on the steempeak anyway. This is a clear message, I don't care about liquid token, but about participation in the platform.
I can move my mouse and check it, but it should be highlighted
The less liquid token in circulation, the less on the stock exchange.
He really did try and the rest of the team said it wasn't different enough to get a different icon. Sorry.
So far, my suggestion has not been supported, so maybe you were right.
I think the big difference is that while 100% power up is a great option as it locks up that STEEM rather than having it liquid - the author is still the one fully benefiting.
With the donate to the SPS or Burn options, it benefits the community or ecosystem rather than the author necessarily.
Not that it’s not important, just too many icons can start to get a bit hectic looking on the front end imo. Maybe it’s something we can reconsider later though after seeing how these additions are accepted.
Well said
I do not agree that a hodler does not have a positive effect on the ecosystem.
Steem is in war. You need weapons to fight for a better tomorrow. If you burn your weapon, the one who wants to drain the system will gain an advantage.
If you burn all your steem, the advantage will be gained by the steem seller, who has half of the reward left in SP to earn another Steem for sale.
You should support a hodler and not say that they are the only ones who gain and do not mean anything to the ecosystem and give them tools to recognize others.
I think it is a good news for steemPeak users. Hopefully SteemPeak is getting better and more successful.
Thanks!!
5 reward options for our posts? This is too much and too complicated for users! Decent user doesn't even bother how distributed his reward will be. Only $STEEM token matter.
Please make Steempeak simple to use, not crowded tool for advanced users :S
A normal user won't check that box and it will default to the 50/50 which 99% of people use so it doesn't impact a normal user... but it does give OPTIONS to an advanced user and those new options benefit everyone.
This is something I have thought quite often lately, but I don't think that hiding or removing options is the solution. Steem is a complex system, and we should try to make it easier to use without removing the available options.
Using the new rewards is still much easier for the user than adding @null or @steem.dao manually to the post beneficiaries.
Maybe in the future, the team could consider splitting the different features/options in a "basic" and "advanced" UI?
I do agree with the points both you and @mys brought up.
I’d also like to be possible to add more tags in order to be able to maximize author’s rewards with the multitude of Tribes.

Great ... great job. When does the steempeak token value go up?
we don't have a token presently.
This token does not belong to you?
No, check the letters. There is an additional S in the name ;)
