Few images are as powerful as a bald eagle in flight. They're the king of the raptors, the symbol of freedom and also the animal that best represents natures beauty and grace.
The eagle is also the symbol of America. It's prominently featured on the most popular silver bullion coin in the world
Power, grace and freedom are three words that immediately come to mind when I think of this animal.
I thought I'd share a few pics I found from pixabay and also a few pieces I have in my collection that prominently feature this amazing bird of prey
I didn't realise until I started making this post is..god dam I've got alot of eagle pieces. These aren't even all them, a testament to thier popularity and awesomeness!
Eagles are apex predators. They don't have any threat to their existence except for man destroying their habitat. Kinda sad we have such a clear affinity for them but we still negatively effect thier livelihood.
I did read their numbers have been improving in North America and they've been delisted as a threatened species. I wanted to end this with some good news 😊

Thx @jackpot for the words and the view. Where I live they have nests in the power towers, theyre often relocated by the power company. I think it's awesome they do that for them. I can also walk to a place nearby and if I'm lucky watch them pluck fish out of the water and fly off. The only bad part is they often take people's outdoor cats away and eat them 😱

Is it a swan or a goose? Either way that's just a big meal for an eagle. They carry young goats away and drop em off cliffs to kill em. Have u seen those vids on YouTube? Just amazing, I feel bad for the goats but the eagle is a smart and efficient killer
Yep i think your right its a goose, We have golden eagles that use similar tactics on deer up in scotland. I spend far to much time on computers as it is , i'll content myself with watching the local sparrowhawk chase down a starling or two in the back garden
