It is known that synthetic or chemical pesticides pollute the environment though their expected effects are often short-lived, it is a well known own fact that chemical pesticides remain in the atmosphere, the soil and in our water courses long after its application.
Unfortunately, when pesticides are applied on a surface, they travel outside their intended area of use by wind or through runoff water. This is a common way in which chemical pesticides cause collateral damage, beyond their intended use.
Constant use of pesticide can lead to reduced pest control because the pests would have developed a resistance to that particular synthesised pesticide, so there will be need to produce a more better and stronger pesticide leading to more detrimental effects in plants, the environment and man who at first was not the target for the use of the pesticide.
Effects of synthesised chemicals on the environment
There has been a dramatic change in soil health when farmers around the world became dependent on synthetic pesticides. When the soil's health is in danger, its nutrients are also depleted and will also become dangerous for the plants to take up. Nature has given room for natural pesticides and there exists a "check and balance" system maintaining the ecosystem. The use of all this synthetic chemicals has affected this system of maintenance and therefore, the ecosystem has been altered; bringing it to a state of imbalance.
Synthetic fertilizers kill a large part of the soil's natural microorganisms. These bacteria typically help to separate the plant nutrients from organic matter and to convert nitrogen into the form that is usable for plants. Other useful soil bacteria are "pathogens" to keep cutworms, bugs, larvae and other pests under control. It takes about six weeks to recover the soil biologically from the intoxication caused by the application of synthetic fertilizers.
Deprived of microorganisms, the soil structure experiences a rapid decline and loses ground for maintaining water, air and nutritional strength. Increased plantations such as depleted soil are extremely sensitive to disease, insects and drought damage. The rich healthy soil is beneficial to microorganisms, creates ideal conditions for parasite-resistance.

Therefore what man consumes affects his overall health performance. This makes it even more crucial to choose what you eat to ensure optimal wellness. And in these days of hectic lifestyles, getting ready quickly and easily to prepare canned vegetables or chemically preserved or dried meats daily is certainly convenient, there is no time to prepare food using food stuff that are fresh and have not been preserved.
Eating such processed foods is not ideal for you. Instead, eat as much fresh whole foods as you can to improve your health. Of course, not all supposedly "natural" foods are good for you, such as inorganic agricultural products that have been planted using inorganic fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.
Risks involved in consuming inorganic products
The inorganic vegetables, first of all are cultivated with the use of toxic petrochemicals such as pesticides, herbicides and, recently, also antimicrobials. The residues of petrochemical products that have been sprayed directly on the vegetables remain on the leaves and outer skins of the vegetables, although traces can be eliminated by thorough washing. Exposure to pesticides has multiple harmful side effects in humans, some of which are congenital defects, neurological conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), chronic diseases such as diabetes and degenerative diseases such as cancer which is now so rampart.
Inorganic vegetables also have markedly higher traces of heavy metals. This is because heavy metals such as highly toxic arsenic are mixed in petrochemical products that then stay well in the soil, and are subsequently absorbed by the roots, fruits and foliar tissues of the plants. Inorganic crops are also grown on industrial farms that do not practice routine soil rehabilitation, so they usually produce vegetables and other crops that have measurable heavy metals such as cadmium and even mercury.
Some inorganic food products are also genetically modified. The long-term effects of genetically modified organisms in humans have not yet been widely investigated, but the animal studies available are not as promising. For example, the effects of GM soybeans on animals, such as genital abnormalities and high mortality rates of offspring, are sufficient to avoid any agricultural product that has been genetically engineered.
Inorganic food products are full of pathogenic bacteria that can also cause food borne illness. Cucumbers and lettuces such as romaine lettuce and iceberg lettuce, for example, have been traced as a source of contamination by E. coli and Salmonella in the past. The use of unprocessed animal manure in industrial farms, together with inadequate management methods, are just some of the possible causative agents of pathogen contamination.
Inorganic food products have also been irradiated. Food irradiation was approved for use as a way to eliminate pathogenic bacteria causing diseases since 2008 by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Now it has been discovered that this method is now carcinogenic and is detrimental to the health of man.
Omega-3 oils that are beneficial to the health is rapidly declining in food. It is known that absence of omega-3 leads to mental illness such as heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's disease. In the previous periods, most of these conditions were rarely found and only in older people in society.
Popular fertilizer, carbamide, ammonia absorbs sugars, releases nitrogen oxide in denitrification process, helps acid rainfall, contamination of the groundwater and exhaustion of the ozone layer. With increasing use and predictability of future use this problem will increase several times over the next decades.
Groundwater pollution is associated with stomach cancer, venereal, congenital malformations and hypertension; Testicular cancer and stomach cancer.
In the air, small quantities of fertilizers and water can cause respiratory conditions, heart disease and various cancers, as well as prevent the growth of the product, increases the production of allergen pollen and can affect the dynamics of various transmitted disease vectors, including the West Nile virus, malaria and cholera.
One of the fearsome effects of chemical fertilizers is called methemoglobinemia. In babies, the alternatives are known as blue baby syndrome. The risk occurs when babies receive water contaminated with nitrous. The situation causes the reduction of oxygen in the blood and the appearance of a blue-gray skin, which causes lethargy and / or irritation and can cause coma or death. The same danger exists also for nursing mothers who are still breastfeeding their babies and might have consumed the water that is contaminated with nitrous substances.
The pollution of the nitrogenous groundwater also takes place in the "dead zones" of the sea. The increase of water soluble nitrates creates a flow of plant life that eats oxygen and outperforms fish and crustaceans. This affects not only the aquatic ecosystem, but also the local communities associated with the food that originates in those areas. Simply put, the wasted synthetic fertilizer (unabsorbed by plant) is washed into a river and this gives the water plants nutrient to grow more than necessary thus, covering the water surface and giving no room to inlet of oxygen for use by the aquatic animals. The lack of oxygen for the aquatic animals will lead to death and this directly leads to shortage of food. We all know that fish is rich in protein and it is even advisable to eat fish more than meat (most especially for the adults).
