Fibroids are said to be non-cancerous tumors that grow typically in the uterus. Fibroids have a devastating effect with major symptoms which includes irregular menstruation, abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, repeated miscarriages, and infertility. Though there is no scientific proof as to what causes fibroid, researchers believe that fibroid could be as the result of estrogen abundance in the body. Thus, it is possible for the growths to be shrunk or completely eliminated. Below are four healthy practices that can help fight fibroids.
1. Boosting the immune system
Ever wondered why some people are more susceptible to diseases while others hardly fall ill? The answer lies in how weak or strong the human immune system is. A weak immune system is more likely to accommodate fibroid than a body with a strong immune system. There are so many ways to boost the immune system, and this can be achieved by maintaining a certain lifestyle and eating certain foods. For instance, staying off smoking and less intake of alcohol decreases vulnerability to infections that occur in the lungs.
Having a dose of sunlight can provide the body with vitamin D which is a great immune booster that can help protect the body system against infections. Other immune booster supplements are also available as drugs which can be gotten from a drug store. But most importantly,it is recommended to eat healthy foods that will bring dead immune system back to life. This will in turn fight against all type of infections and foreign bodies. This can immensely thwart the growth of fibroid or shrink it. Foods such as citrus fruits, peppers, spinach, ginger, green tea, almonds, and poultry can help boost the immune system.
2. Maintaining a balanced hormone
Some women during their childbearing years suffer from infertility which in turn increases the chances of fibroid growing in their womb. Research shows that some women experience infertility as a result of hormone imbalance. Thus a balanced hormone will enhance fertility and increase the chances of conception; this will in-turn, eliminate the chances of fibroid growing in the womb.
There are so many natural ways to maintain a balanced hormone and regular exercising of the body is a great way of achieving that. Others ways of maintaining a balanced hormone include:
Consuming healthy fats and foods that are rich in vitamins.
Eating enough protein such as beans, fish, turkey,
and avoiding sugar.Maintaining a healthy eating structure.
adapting certain routines such as listening to music which can aid in managing stress.

3. Detoxification of the body system
Detoxifying the body system will likely get rid of fibroids which is a foreign tissue. It will also help prevent the formation of new fibroids. Starting the day with a glass of water will help cleanse and flush the digestive system. It is also recommended to drink water regularly during the day so as to flush out toxins from the body.
Performing a total colon cleanse with the use of safe colon cleansers will also cleanse and detoxify the entire digestive tract system. Vegetable juice, fruits, green tea, green foods are also great for body detoxification.
4. Avoid intake of iced water or fluid
A research conducted recently on a group of women suffering from fibroids shows that intake of iced water or fluid will likely encourage the growth of fibroids and cause the formation of new growths. Five women suffering from fibroids were subjected to a close observation for two weeks and while two out of the women were served with iced water and cold juice, the other three were given warm water and juice.
Over the course of time, it was observed that whilst the women who were served iced water experienced growth in fibroids and formation of new growths, the size of the fibroids of the women who were served warm water and fluid shrunk considerably.

Although it may seem a bit odd for women to incorporate intake of warm water into their daily routines, it is recommended to completely stay away from iced water if you are suffering from fibroids. If you find intake of warm water or fluid uncomfortable, you can just settle for water that has not been refrigerated or subjected to extreme cold weather.
Nevertheless, some women who have maintained a healthy lifestyle overtime have been said to suffer from fibroids because it may run in the family, a significant number of women continue to suffer from fibroids as a result of unhealthy lifestyles. Although most of these women have resulted to surgery to remove these growths, it is not a recommended way to get rid of fibroid as they tend to grow back over time. It is therefore important to pay a close attention to our bodies by undergoing a regular medical routine check. This way, fibroids can be prevented, detected and managed in a more natural and safe way.
