It's a different type of post than the ones I've nominated in the past. I like this post because it shows how an average person without expensive telescope equipment can act as a "citizen scientist" and help document astronomy events. Looking at @fotosdenada past blog posts I can see astrophotography was something new and the blog post shows the dedication to trial and error in order to get a good photo of a rare comet.

It was posted on July 19 so it is less than a week old.
