Good story. There are so many. If you talk to enough elder people you can quickly lose track of all of them. Someone could make a living I suspect on collecting and preserving such history. Not just our own.

Yes, that reminds me on a project I started with two other women, years and years ago. We wanted to produce a cooking book, calling it "Good Butter" and mix it with those exact stories from life. We only made the concept, but stopped. I cannot remember, why. That makes me wanting to start again with this. Thanks for the reminder :)
P.S. I wouldn't do it for make a living but to tell stories never heard of. That's the good part of being an individual. Your stories are as unique as your finger prints. Do you have some on your own or from your family?
There are a lot of stories from my family. Yet I'd have to think about them more. Nothing I have cohesive enough to write yet.
