After they approved our house, we went to meet Amy. As soon as we parked the car we could already see her. So small and cute! When we got out of the car she was super scared, they told that rescued animals can get very scared, mainly when men is around! So, after the stress we could get closer to her, she got a little bit of trust and they we took her and her things and heades to home!
When she arrived here she was very scared, she was hiding under the couch all the time. But she got more relaxed by the time.. getting familiar with the house.
She found out that she doesn't eat much of dog food. At Romenia, as the have a lot of street dogs, they usually give rice and leftovers to the dogs. So we decided to do this. On the first day she ate rice, sweet potato, meat and coconut oil. We also found out that this kind of food is healthier for the dog than the supermarket dogfood (without spices! garlic, onions, pepper can be very bad for the dog).
We had some visitors in these 2 days, and this is maybe the worst part. When someone arrives she gets very scared, she barks a lot and runs to under the couch. But with time she get closer to the visitor and smells them, then she can be around but not so sociable.
The owner of the NGO recommend us to leave the dog alove for a couple of hours, so she can get used to the house, know that this is her house now and that when we go out we will return. So we did this. It was very hard to let her alone and hear her crying behind the door! But it was necessary. When we got back we had a big party! And nothing wrong or broken in the house (success!).
As soon as she got here she pooped in differently places os the house! but it was just this moment!! Thanks God!
During the night it is suprinsily fine! We put her bed next to us and she slept the whole night.
Tomorrow I will have two girlfriends over, I hope Amy can socialize better. I don't know if the previous visits were more stressfull because they are men. Well, tomorrow we will see if this is true!
she is really cute
