So shit went south, I was just on my bunk when people started mounting their battle stations and fighters were ready for take off. At that moment, I new there was trouble somewhere. I met with one of the high ranks and asked him whst was going on, he said the fighers sent out on ricon mission where ambushed and took major casualties and are now out of com. Okay, deep breaths, wait, why now? Why me? Why her? Why now?! I was distorted and confused. Worst thing was I couldn't even express my anguish, plus, I was totally just a subordinate afterall.
I wasn't deployed so all I could do was to wait for good news. Well, finally, the newly deployed fighters, the rescue team, were back, but not with good news though.
They had found all the fighter jets in peices and all accounted for and expected no survivals. Well, its mystory so I'd just have go wait a while and she'd be back. I waited a month before I realised that it wasn't a movie, she was gone, forever.
Well, that was my first "detach" lesson. Be ready to lose the ones you care about in an instance. Well, regardless, life goes on, so I did as I was ordered, didn't get into anything serious, just recon missions really, no engagement, just report. The most mission i had was when I had to be a presidential escort, well, there was no action in that either.
Well, those were the good old days. I was just recently deployed to the far east. I've got to say, the weather is crazy hot, and so are the ladies. The men are just plane crazy with no love for visitors. That was the begining of my adventures.
My first mission was part of a squadron of 10 fighters, we were just there basically to make sure the army had the advantage, just shoot up some key enemy towers and own the day.
Destiny had totally different idea...
