My family is all here for the weekend and everyone is busy making preparations for dinner, but I wanted to take a minute and wish everyone a happy Sunday and Happy Easter to everyone who likes jelly beans!

Everyone here has left for home with containers full of leftovers and far too much Easter candy! Everything is quiet and I can get back to my Steem addiction.
Impressive you managed to make a post through all the chaos. I am just sitting down to look at steem after not sitting since Thursday. Holiday weekends are so crazy.

I'm sure you all love these family gathering, this is wonderful ! My mother and brothers are at the other side of the country and they do all the gathering without me and I feel quite lonely sometimes...but hey that's life, and I have my children that are not too far 😉 I'm happy to be a positive person
My daughter and her family live near, but it is a 2 hour drive for my son and his family to be here. I am so grateful that they like to be involved with the family and don't mind doing the drive.
I bet your meetings are so entertaining, fun and with many delicious food, that they would not be afraid to drive some miles ! 😊 I'm happy for you my dear that you are surrounded by all that great persons and environment 😘
That's an interesting way of coloring eggs. It is my first time to see it. It's a completely different technique and if I were to color eggs, I would do just the same. As unique as that maybe, I would rather go for the scones without question lol!

It was an egg dying kit that was available in the store... They didn't turn as lovely as advertised! Warm scones with a morning cup of tea are always delicious!
Almost always things don't turn out the way as advertised :D

This is what they looked like after the foam had been rinsed off....
Interesting egg dying method. How does that work? Is that cloth wrapped around the eggs with food coloring?
It was a Paz kit, and you whipped up a powder with water to create foam then put the dye on the foam and swirled it in. The eggs were dipped into the foam. After sitting for a few minutes you washed the foam off. I thought they were prettier covered in the foam. We kept waiting for baby unicorns to hatch, but it never happened.
Awww, well they were boiled! :-)
Oh darn. That is probably what did it.

It was a new egg dying kit that was being advertised on TV and the kids wanted to try it. I would not do it that way again!

Upon seeing your final photo, it came to me that I did not see any of those colorful egg candies this year. I use to love those.
Brachs marshmallow eggs. I ordered them on Amazon.
I wasn't really impressed with the eggs, but it was fun to try something different.
I do like fresh scones in the morning with my tea!
The eggs are pretty sweet, but for me, they were part of my childhood, so tasting them brings back fond memories. No way not to like that :).
A total childhood Easter basket memory! I like the white and blue ones best and there were only one each in the bag, so there are plenty of yellow and orange ones that will get thrown out. Two marshmallow eggs a year are plenty!

yay! Did you get way behind yesterday? Were you exhausted from the weekend?
I think it was an MS exacerbation. I try to ignore those and keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't leave me too much worse off than I was before. I didn't do a post yesterday and I don't think I made 10 comments all day.
oh so you were totally missing yesterday and I didn't even comment to you until late at night so I didn't even realize! wow, well you're so fast that you can catch up fast. The important thing is that you are feeling better!
YES! Someone knows painted hard boiled eggs, this was my strongest memory of Easter as a child and I was convinced I was the only person in the world knew about it!

I colored eggs every Easter as a child, and then with my kids and now with my grandkids! It just wouldn't seem like Easter without a bowl full of colored eggs on the table!
