Binge Watch Your Way To Success.

in #success6 years ago

I was just talking to friend about living in the modern world versus living back when things were simpler.

The modern world has a lot of amazing advantages, but man does it come with a lot of bullshit.

Just look at the food we eat, the education system...everyone is undereducated, overweight, depressed, anxious…for being a more advanced species you would think we would be able to solve those problems a lot better.

So what’s the answer?

I wish it was that simple. One answer that solved all problems.

Life is a puzzle my friend.

In the end the answer is different for all of us. We gotta constantly learn and grow. It’s a shame society doesn’t make it easier for us to find our way.

Have you ever heard of Occam’s Razor.?. Occam’s Razor. is the problem-solving principle that basically says the simplest solution is usually the right one. When you’re presented with competing solutions to solve a problem, select the solution with the fewest assumptions.

What does that mean?

Broken down to its basic form it means choose the simplest solution first and go from there. Life doesn’t always have to be complicated. A lot of times the solution to a complex problem is something simple and it’s probably starring you right in the face.

Today life has become more complicated with technology. Now there’s nothing wrong with technology, it makes a lot of things better. We just need to remember to keep a balance. Technology should enhance our lives not take over.

I’ve been spending more time on the home farm recently and it’s funny what a difference there is being disconnected on a farm than being in the busy city.

When you take some time away from your phone, social media, TV, processed foods, you realize how simple life can be.

Learning should be simple. The school system failed us all. It didn’t prepare us for the challenges of life. Sure, we learned what an isosceles triangle was, but how does that improve your health, wealth, love or happiness? Schools should be teaching the fundamentals of life so everyone is prepared for life’s challenges.

The number one thing the school system should’ve taught us was how to be financially free. Making and managing money is a skill, and it has to be learned. It takes practice.

As you read this maybe you are struggling financially or maybe you’re dealing with some depression or anxiety. We all have to deal with life’s struggles. Those feelings of complete despair. You feel your chest a little tighter, your heart and mind racing. It can be rough. I can remember wat happened I decided to get serious with my money.

Something changed.

I started self-educating. I started reading anything I could get my hands on. Buying any program I could find (and afford). Watching all the free content I could find. I learned early on from mentors that modern-day education might make you living, but self-education can make you a fortune. I remember sitting on the couch, looking at a broken TV with no cable, thinking to myself “what do I do next? How do I get out of this situation?” I knew I had to act for things to change.

You see, the school system didn’t teach me what I needed to do. It was up to me to figure it out for myself. And I did...with the help of a lot of mentors along the way.

One of the biggest obstacles for people is believing it can be done. When you don’t see anyone in your inner circle doing it, you start to think someone like you can’t do it. That’s not true. You CAN do it. You just have to follow the right blueprint. You have to take the right steps towards success. You have to learn from someone who’s already been there. I wouldn't be where I am today without mentors, I'd still be procrastinating.
