Steemit January 30th 2018, FREE Tarot Card Reading Blog Graphic.jpg

Hello Steemians & welcome to another Tarot Tuesday!

Two weeks ago, a handful of wicked talented readers joined me on #tarottuesday. Last week, @steemittarot began searching for (and resteeming) posts with the hash tag. Also for the past couple of weeks, @intuitivejakob has been joining @isaria and @sunravelme on The Darkside to chat about Tarot (pop over to http://mspwaves.com/ to find out more). So frellin' excited about this!

This is a (magical) work in progress, but for the moment -

~ If you'd like to check out the amazing variety of FREE readings today, check out the hash tag or scroll through the @steemittarot feed.

~ If you're a card reader, and would like to jump in with a free reading of your own, use #tarottuesday as one of your five tags and @steemittarot will resteem your post.

Now, on to my reading...

Happy Tarot Tuesday!, Steemians! I started doing these readings monthly over on my WordPress blog back in 2015. A year later, they'd become so popular I decided to make them a weekly feature. I decided that for the month of January, I'd post them here on Steemit first (between 7am and 7:45am, depending on when the coffee kicked in - LOL!), then at 8am on my WordPress blog. And now that the month is almost over, I think it's safe to say that this will be my routine from here on out. 😊

For those wondering, I use my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck to draw the cards, but since it's so well loved (I've owned it for a bazillion years), I then substitute my Radiant Deck for the photographs. And for the record, I take a new picture of the card backs every week - first, I do the cards face up, then flip them over and take a snap of the back. I add the numbers and such with Canva, and use the current picture of the backs to create the blog graphic.

Also, while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.

Now, on to the reading! Pick the card (or cards) that you're drawn to, then scroll down to the bottom of this post for the card reveal and my short interpretation of what to expect in the upcoming week.

Okay, you’ve picked your card, right?

Now please enjoy this musical interlude whilst you scroll to the bottom of the page. Given the approach of the Super Full Blood Blue Moon tomorrow, I thought "Dancing in the Moonlight" (courtesy of King Harvest) would be an appropriate tune.

clears throat

Apologies in advance if I hit a wrong note or three...

"We get it almost every night..."

"When that moon is big and bright..."

"It's a supernatural delight..."

"Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight..."

"Everybody here is out of sight..."

"They don't bark, and they don't bite..."

"They keep things loose, they keep 'em tight..."

"Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight..."

Alrighty, here's the big reveal! Your card is...

drum roll

This!

1. Nine of Swords

It's not that bad. You know the facts, and they aren't great. But it's not the end of the world either. Stop focusing on the fear and negativity, because all it's doing is blowing the problem way out of proportion. No sense in wasting energy worrying about the "what ifs" - instead, look for something distracting to help you break out of this cycle of, "doom and gloom, DOOM AND GLOOM!" Maybe grab your favorite, "gotta get out of this funk" movie (mine is Stardust), and forget about your worries for a while.

2. Ten of Cups

The Rainbow Connection. Sometimes it's hard to remember the good things in our lives, because we spend so much time struggling to overcome the bad. This card is a good reminder that our happiness doesn't come from money, it comes from within (although if anyone ever offers me a winning lottery ticket, I wouldn't refuse - LOL!). Take a closer look at the people in this card - they're wearing simple clothes, have a simple home, and they're as blissed out as they come. Stop looking outside of yourself for your happiness, and start focusing on being happy. Listen to that little voice in your head, telling you that your dreams can become a reality. Like the song says about that voice - I've heard it too many times to ignore it / It's something that I'm supposed to be /Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me."

3. Ten of Pentacles

Success is at hand. Good things are coming for you – you might find more money coming in (like a raise at work), an improved living situation (even as simple as a new piece of furniture), or an overall positive atmosphere in your home. This card also means that not all wealth is material – having a family (not necessary related by blood) and friends can enrich your life as well, if not better, than money itself. You’ve either found your tribe, or you’re about to, and it will be like coming home.

I chose card 3 and it was spot on - I've finally found a bit of a tribe on here bewtween the Newbie Resteem Initiative and Tarot Tuesdays I'm making a lot of new friends!
Thank you for the message!
Oh, BTW can I include the @steemittarot page in my Tarot Tuesdays posts too? Maybe an invite of some kind for others to follow the page?
Was going to add it for today's but figured it's best to ask first :)

Yep, I'm definitely finding my tribe here as well!

You're very welcome, and most definitely you can add @steemittarot to your post. I'm going to knuckle down today (assuming my family and life in general stop with the constant interruptions...LOL) and write up an intro post, and a reply for when I resteem. Appreciate you asking first! 💜

I'll look out for the intro post and I'll resteem as well :) thanks !!

I got card #2, and I think it's a great reminder to stop stressing! Things will work out as they should.

Excellent, @sunravelme! I know I'm trying to remember that myself. 😊

Wow!! All three cards spoke to me today! The only thing keeping me from a wish come true and financial stability are my own thoughts! Thanks @traciyork I'll be posting my reading over on dsound! Sorry to have missed last week!

You're very welcome, @teneiced and I can't wait to hear yours on DSound - awesome idea for Tarot Tuesday!

I love "Dancin in the Moonlight". I picked 2. That is kinda my theme now that I'm old. My last baby is about to be launched in a few months and I am looking for more simplicity. They still want lights and food at the house but I am seeking ways to distance myself from the paper and plactic world of chasing money. Thanks for letting me play.

Ahh, I hear that. In fact, we tried a bit of an experiment about five years ago - ditched a huge amount of stuff, put the rest in storage, and bought a camper. Our goal was to travel the country, work-camping/bartering our way along. Sadly, it didn't work out, but we haven't given up hope of trying again someday. And you're very welcome.

There is a stirring in the people I think. Maybe folks are getting tired of being ruled finally and are beginning to imagine that the world can very well be a different place if they want it to be so. Peace to you and yours.

I know I'm imagining it, @platosgroove. Bright blessings back to you and yours.

I chose card 1 and thank you for saying "it's not that bad" :) It was definitely a big test for me since the new puppy has joined our household but its gotten better.

I'm glad the message resonated for you (and your adorable puppy). I hope things continue to settle down in your household.

Oh my goodness!

I have to say that what you said about these makes a lot of sense. I heard that card #1 for me is staying up all night trying to make it til 4 a.m. so I can get to the observatory in time to see the eclipse! lol

Been hoping dtube will let me get my #tarottuesday reading up. I've been speaking kindly and intending that it'll cooperate because it's been having a little sluggishness with the 2nd video...errrr.

I'm so glad the cards made sense, @intuitivejakob! Well, maybe not glad... LOL!

I saw that dtube finally cooperated, and I plan to watch it tomorrow. Good job bribing the bandwidth fairies... 😊

lol

I had to sweet talk them all night @traciyork, but alas, they came around.

And yeah that card has been kicking my A. I had a hammock nap to normalize myself.

I chosed card 2 and it totally blew my mind. I don't want to dive to deep into it as its there for anyone to read but it couldn't be more fitting for what is going on in my life right now! Thank you so much for this post!

You're very welcome, @fitnessnerd! Bright blessings to you! 😊

10 of Pentacles! Yay!
Hopefully this is a crypto-bump:D

Fingers (and toes, and arms, and legs, and eyes) crossed!

Haha, I love this! Great idea. :)
