Welcome (Bonjour/Karibu) to the Bounty... It might be a bit biased but I do believe I cannot over sell it more than it does it self.

The bounty is a restaurant in Paje, Zanzibar. It is owned by a couple called Emmy and Steff - aka The French Chef Steff - They have had this restaurant now for about over two years. They take the freshest local produce they can find -all bought from reliable locals to help empower themselves - and season it with the subtle but packed french flavours. There is no bad item on this menu... I can vouched for it because I have eaten every single one.

So let's see what they have from the ocean?

First things first... you have to pick the right table and this one is my favourite. It's an old boat turned into a table with a view that is nothing short of amazing.

Here is a taste of the view at low tide, all the people on the beach and all the youngsters trying their luck at kite surfing. At night there is no sunset, but there is the moon rising golden out of the ocean that is an amazing site to see. Unfortunatley my camera could not capture it...

Then it's menu time.. there are a few options but here are my favourites.

Starters is always one of two, however I prefer both! The lovely creamy on the inside, crunchy on the outside and fresh crab samosas, served with some special mayo.

ALternetivley or an ad on is the super thin melt in your mouth tuna carpaccio. Topped with a secret oil dressing, fresh lime juice and some oyster sauce it too good to pass.

My favourite seafood meal on the menu. The grilled tuna steak. Before we get to the steak I just have to say damn those chips... Cooked before in 7 different spices/sauces to get an flavour that is truly unrivaled, could use more salt at times but that is why they have it on the table right? Towards the tuna, as with any steak you can order raw/rear/medium or welldone. I like mine medium or as I know it seared. The fresh tuna from Zanzibar is just so tasty so with the cooked outside and raw inside with some garlica butter and lime its the pefect taste and texture for anyone.

Lastly we have the special bounty Cigale. It's a rock lobster that goes through dry grilling, 3 sauces (The one sauce contains about 6 different seafoods that is cooked down to a reduction making the cigale explode with flavour.) Finally served on the plate with the lobster sauce. This Cigale come outh the shell with easy, is not tough and just tasty fresh. Put that with the fresh ciabatta bread and you can die happily.

Anyone visiting Zanzibar and heading to Paje should make sure this restaurant is on your tp do list. Best food in all of Zanzibar and I have eaten at about 60 different places on the island.

Thanks @sgbonus, good food needs to be shared.

Eating good food by the sea is the best.
Thanks for sharing

The sea and seafood just works, fresh fish, fresh limes and fresh sea breeze, enough to make anyone happy.

Again the food just looks amazing!! And what better place to sit outside with that beautiful view!!

@rynow always nice hearing from you, it definitely is lovely outside and the weather is always perfect. Some days the wind can pick up and kick up sand but for that you just move a bit back under the tent and you keep the view and lose the sand ;)

Dammnnnnn that Samosa look nyummy!!!!!
