Windows Recall
A new "feature" that will take snapshots of your screen every few seconds and store them in an archive that is searchable.
Recall is a new feature that's in testing stages currently, and will be made available first on Windows Copilot+ devices featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon X chipsets.
These chipsets include an NPU or Neural Processing Unit that is designed to accelerate AI workloads.
Total Recall
Microsoft reassured concerned persons with claims that the snapshot archives are stored only on the user's device, and that they are encrypted.
However, a security researcher has already developed and published a tool that locates the archive and extracts all of the contents which are NOT encrypted.
