DJI launches a smartphone-sized drone that can be gripped with the palm of the hand when folded. Named "Mavic Air", this latest drone looks similar to its two predecessors, namely "Spark" and "Mavic Pro".

When viewed from some angle, especially from above, Mavic Air is similar to Mavic Pro in a more flat version. Then from the front side, looks identical to Spark.

Mavic Water can be folded up to facilitate mobility taken everywhere. When folded, Mavic Air is smaller than Spark and 41 percent lighter than Mavic Pro.

Mavic Air specifications close to Mavic Pro, even in some parts there is better. Mavic Air uses a 1 / 2.3 inch sensor capable of recording 4k video at 24 to 30 frames per second. The sensor is 12 megapixel with 24 mm wide f / 2.8 openings.

Mavic Air is capable of flying 42 miles per hour under normal circumstances. The situation strong winds make it can only fly 22 miles per hour. The flight time is 21 minutes or five minutes longer than Spark, but six minutes shorter than Mavic Pro.

The DJI also promises enhanced software along with features on Mavic Air, one of which avoids obstacle-avoidance obstacles. That way, users can more easily avoid collisions with birds or other obstacles in the air.

There are several new recording and shooting modes, including 32 megapixel panoramic options and small planetary models. Image processing and gesture control are also said to be more qualified.

Price Mavic Water was between Spark and Mavic Pro, ie 799 US dollars or equivalent to Rp 9.9 million. Known, Spark is a drone made by DJI cheapest 399 US dollars (Rp 4.9 million), while Mavic Pro 999 US dollars (Rp 12.4 million).

I own a Mavic Pro and in my opinion the mavic air is just to light if there is a bit of wind... its going to be intresting to test out...

Thanks for the comments, @nils.gies I agree that mavic is more reliable for adventurers in all conditions.
