Honda unveiled the electric car, printed on a 3D printer, created in collaboration with a Japanese technology company Kabuku.
The car looks and dimensions similar to the Renault Twizy, with the exception of the passenger seat, which was replaced by the trunk, which makes the model from the Honda single.
The car is built on a lightweight platform, allowing the center of gravity down, because almost the entire body printed on the 3D printer. Honda and Kabuku claim that 3D printing allows you to reduce the cost and time of production, and this prototype is ideal for serial production.
The form factor of a minivan and an electric power plant suggest that the car is designed to deliver small loads in the city. Honda and Kabuku are not reported reserve model.
According to Honda and Kabuku, operating options can be expanded, because the design can be easily changed by typing the desired components on a 3D printer.
The car is not yet named, but will be presented at Japanese technology trade show CEATEC 2016.
