It was made by Acorn who went on to start up ARM. They were based in Cambridge. See the docu-drama video on my comment for the story.
Just watched a few minutes of it, looks interesting, gonna watch it on telly later. I like ARM, I've done well off them when they've listed in UK previously, and in USA now.
