Terracore: Devlog #17 - Make it RAIN - Discord Tip Bot integration & Bug fixes!

A Week of Excitement and Thanks to the Community

Hello Fellow Citizens!
Wow, what a week! I don't really know where to start with this blog post, but all I want to say is thank you so much to the entire community. It was a long road coming in to getting NFT released, and I'm super excited now that they're there, and we can see people opening and minting crates in the Discord, and people enjoying the game.

As some of you may have noticed, there were quite a few bugs that we ran into in the first 15 to 20 minutes of the NFT release this week. But as the week progressed, most of the odds and ends or little bugs that came up have been fixed, and the systems have been running super smooth. It's been so exciting to see people come into the Discord, opening crates, and finding some epic loot. And I know if you guys are anything like me, you're getting really anxious and excited because we haven't even seen a small portion of what NFTs really have to offer yet because all we can do is equip them right now. We are really only on the first small set of 100 variations in the beta class of the NFTs. And if you're anything like me, you're sitting here waiting for the release of Oceana and whatever epic loot it holds for us.

I want to give a special shoutout to @asgarth for getting @terracorehub at https://terracorehub.com up and ready for this release. It's been amazing having all these third-party options outside of the official terror core front end to help all types of players that are looking for different ways to access the game have those options. And the new marketplace with filtering and statistics with all the photos below has been so much more than I could have imagined just a month ago. It's pretty crazy to see that we have our own NFTs and NFT marketplace on Hive. Everyone that's here, whether they know it or not, is kind of a pioneer of this. So, I'm super excited to see how this plays out.

I also want to welcome @wingwing124 as our newest community moderator. Thank you so much for stepping up and being there for the rest of the community. It's really special to have someone like you that's so knowledgeable about the game from the start that is willing to help out all the new members coming in every day.

SCRAP DISCORD BOT

This week we also released a new discord bot which was finished today that does a bunch of stuff to incentivize participating in the discord community and based on activity every once in a while the bot will reward users with free scrap in the discord chat that is attached to your discord tag you can deposit scrap from hive engine into the discord wallet and you can also withdraw back out to your hive wallet it's really simple and uses slash commands and you can also see the price of scrap on high of engine in real time from the discord and there are a couple other cool options like tipping and making it rain on some of the users that have been active during your current session.
