A shelling carried out by militants in Deir ez-Zor left two Russian military advisers dead and five more servicemen injured, so stated the Russian Ministry of Defense on Sunday.

Several groups of jihadi terrorists attacked an artillery battery of the Syrian government forces, at night, in the province of Deir ez-Zor.
Two Russian military advisers, who controlled the fire of the Syrian artillery were killed on the spot. Five more servicemen were injured and were taken to the hospital immediately.”
Later, two of the servicemen died in the hospital.
According to the statement, the Syrian armed forces with the assistance of the Russian military advisers took the fight back to the terrorists.
During the battle, which lasted about an hour, the Russians and Syrian soldiers killed 43 US-backed terrorists and destroyed six all-terrain vehicles installed with large caliber weapons.
