We are now a registered charity in the U.K.

It was a very long journey and filled with frustrations and of course, a ton of paperwork. But we finally did it! Krabi Animal Welfare is now a registered charity in the United Kingdom and this could end up being a game changer for us and the animals that we rescue and heal.

The founders Paul and Rhiannon wish to thank everyone that was involved in the process, in particular the boots on the ground over in the U.K. that did a lot of shuffling papers to and fro' to the various people that needed them in order for approval.

There are many reasons why this is a big deal but the main one is that this will seriously help our fundraising efforts. No longer will we be restricted to coin banks at various minimmarts that no one really pays attention to anymore. We will now be a charity that can be used for taxation purposes and this normally will encourage people to donate more. After all, would you rather give your money to taxes, or to help homeless suffering dogs and cat? The answer is pretty simple for me...

Our mission of sterilization, feeding, vaccinating, education, feeding and treating the sick and abused dogs and cats of Krabi province will continue, hopefully with increased funding once we can get the word out a little bit better in the U.K. You'd be surprised how much more willing people are to donate when they realize that it comes along with not just helping animals, but also helping themselves with a tax break.

This is a huge milestone for us and we are just really excited to take the next steps!
