I'm always on the side of the people but reality is, too little too late. Dystopia was destiny when Iraq war popped off. Media is even utilizing the same catch phrase "shock and awe" this time against the INVISIBLE ENEMY.
I believe the terrorist age of "they threaten our free society" didn't work as they intended. We just said "I don't give a fuck" so this time around they just savagely violated our holes (took our freedom) without the dinner and drinks before the violation.
Digital Dystopia is also the longgame outcome. Something I don't mind actually because the system is broken. That's what grants ability to the savvy and exists as a newfound freedom. Vulnerabilities shine beautifully like the rainbow after the storm.
It's always too little and too late for some when these events occur. It's never too little and too late for them as live through them.
It's up to us whether it is or isn't. The more we do now that will benefit us after we live through it, the more we will timely have enough to survive. Add to your ability to make stuff and provide services that are basal to survival now, and share the wealth as you can to create the only coin that will matter in a foxhole: goodwill.

Decentralization of the means of production is presently the cutting edge of technology across all fields. Centralization can't compete. Overlords depend on centralization, so they intend to brutally repress us all to prevent our escaping their control.
They're going to fail, but it's important to not be subjected to their death throes. Adopt those means of producing the goods and services you need. Help others do that too. Together you will be stronger and better resist the armed oppression coming. Be strong enough to survive until the desperate attempt to oppress the entire world and turn us all into slaves fails.
