--Republicans are increasingly abandoning Trump over the Ukraine fiasco, including GOP voters in NC, which was won by the Republican presidential candidate in 9 of the last 10 elections

Will this trend continue?

Truth is these polls won't really be the way they're now currently if it comes to election period by all means. I believe the republicans might be divided a lot in their opinion but we sure have the Trump faithful and it doesn't really matter if Trump have these people saying they're abandoning him. I believe people who share Trump's ideologies are still there.

Hmm, Trumps recent rally attendance, and campaign donations seem to indicate just the opposite David.
Any chance your numbers are skewed?
By the way hows that impeachment coming?

You really got to stop relying on these polls, every single poll is different, that's because they just randomly call people, if they call more democrats than republicans the results will always be more unfavorable. In another poll in the state it was tied:

North Carolina voters are divided on impeaching President Donald Trump, according to a new poll from Raleigh-based Public Policy Polling.

The poll, released Wednesday, found that 48% of voters support impeaching Trump while 48% oppose. Four percent said they were not sure.

See...it all depends upon who gets called.

You should learn how a rigorous poll is conducted. They do their best to control for the factors you mention.

There are so many variables involved in polling it's just hard to believe any of them unless a poll specifically states, (and I have seen it specifically stated) this poll was conducted of equal representation of each group. One of the problems involved in randomly chosen is that whoever hires the pollster ask them to query 1000 people randomly....that is often what happens as it would cost them more if they ask the pollster to find five hundred democrats and five hundred republicans specifically as that would require more than making 1000 phone calls. So what typically happens is a variable number of things up to and including things such as taking the number of the lesser polled and averaging them out equal as equal to what the lesser group said. So in essence that means somebody someplace that answered a phone and what they replied is considered equal to as if they had called me personally and asked me...even though there could have been a chance I may have responded differently to a question or two.
Here is a site I came across awhile back that explains how polling is done and the all different variables involved if people are curious how different polls can be conducted.

Fortunately some of us have brain. But will they totally abandonned him finally? That's the real question!

Nope, in one article it said Republicans in NC are disgruntled over the choices they have to choose from so they will vote for Trump.

Ok, did not seen that article. Hum not them all so! They've differents viewpoints depending on states. Thank you @sunlit7 for the additional details, I understand better now.

Different viewpoints in polls depending upon who they poll. You can do five polls in the same state and they can all vary as the people they call are randomly chosen. If you are going to conduct a poll with a specified number of one thousand people randomly chosen and the majority of those people are of one party or the other, whichever party is the majority in that poll will determine the direction/results of that particular poll.

So say if a poll made contact with thirty percent of people who said they are republicans and sixty percent who said they are democrats the results calculated for republicans will be based on thirty percent out of one thousand people registered as republicans...hardly what one could establish as an overall view of all republicans in a particular state. That's saying three hundred republicans spoke for every republican in a state.

Humm ok that's so controverse. We need real and strong informations. Why they never could doing a general poll in one Party and not only made with people they've choosen?!

It's that one of the way how medias can manipulate the population. I think they should use blockchain for them votes and poll to have better overview and (ainsi) reduce diffences and inequity and thereafter giving informations. Because It's about president, democracy and population.

If I was a pollster instead of doing just the first randomly selected I'd keep going until I found my first five hundred democrats then my first five hundred republicans or you could reduce both groups equally by choosing to allocate whatever percentage of independents, libertarians are estimated in your state. Still overall though I don't think asking any group of one thousand any way you mix it to be a good representation of the overall population of any state.

@davidpakman, In my opinion Trends are ever-changing aspects, so we can expect the changes when changes in Political Moves happens. Stay blessed.
