I remember they did a huge free airdrop for Steem users last year, I sold it all 😂

Yeah I remember. I didn't take it serious. I missed the airdrop though. Painful

Some were locked up for a year and I lost my private keys for those but it’s only a few bucks these days 😅

Thank you very much for your teachings, friend, there is always something new to learn, keep on teaching the community :D

I misplaced my byteball wallet password...can it be recovered?

Brute force it? Could be possible, I don't have an idea how to set it up.

Chances are if you just got the byteball in the giveaway last year it's lost 80-90% of it's value since then, so maybe not worthwhile trying to recover

I think I have some bytes sitting about somewhere. Oh and I know that I have some stuck on an exchange.... that was annoying.

Bytes, useless bytes everywhere.

If you ask me, byteball had promises really but they didn't have the right structure, the airdrop they did was definitely publicity for their token but they obviously ran out of ideas and it's obviously a failed project, there are some many airdrop out there and you need to be unique to stand out, byteball didn't do that

Really a very good opportunity. Your information is very useful, Louis. Thank you and have a nice day.

Yeah those bytes did help buy a considerable amount of steem at the time. Good times.

@louisthomas, Absolutely true, no users 👥 means no Working Product and we are seeing that, many projects are coming up with sound project models but people are not finding any use case in it.

Never heard of Byte ball. Anything other than bitcoin is comparatively little risky. So these are lessons and thanks a lot for sharing this mate

Does this guy ever interact in the comments?

On rare occasions. I've had one exchange with him many months ago. It would be nice, though, if he interacted more. Now it seems that he doesn't really care about this platform.

On one hand, @louisthomas' work is the type of quality content we want here to draw eyeballs. He's a great example of a pretty well known content creator in the cryptosphere the likes of whom are most welcome here. On the other hand, Steem is obviously a mere sideshow for him he comes to for the rewards. I will continue to upvote his videos but will reconsider my vote weight.

To give credit where credit is due, I noticed he started commenting a day ago. I hope he keeps it up, and does more to promote steem in the present.

I fully agree.

I mean it would be tragically stupid for people in crypto to continue to prefer centralized platforms. That sort of thing is antithetical to everything the entire movement is trying to accomplish.
