Praiano Naturarte, a wonderful story from the South of Italy

in #tourism7 years ago (edited)

Praiano Naturarte is the project with whom we are transforming the small town of the Amalfi Coast in an open air museum. We already have installed about 150 artworks, made by 8 different artists of the region. As Vogue said, Praiano actually is the hidden pearl of the Amalfi Coast, you can forget about Positano and Amalfi

I have been working on this project since the 2013. The turning point has been the 2015 when we won 250k € from the Region that let us develop and implement the whole project. Our purpose is to create a sustainable tourism, respecting the nature and the identity of the town.

The most important thing is that we are developing a social capital model that can be replicate in any town, or city or neighborhood in order to start an urban renewal process. We showed that change is possible, even in the south of Italy where everything seems impossible.

More information are available on the web site amalficoasting.org. Here is possible to have all the details of the project
