this article is second part of the desert trip
you can check the first part here
https://steemit.com/adventure/@ashkanco/introduction
we were at the caravansary with TOLT (Benjamin Martinie) and Baptiste and a friend of mine Farid who were our cook.
and have to say he cooks really awesome even in middle of desert with very limited Kitchen gears that we had
we rest a bit there making coffee with these old fashion coffee makers from Bialetti
have to say they make real good one but you should grind the coffee for them roughly
what can be the best at hot temp of desert?
definitely a pool or pond
the caravansary have centuries old pool, which it used to be as a water reservoir for a small farm that not exist anymore
so we change and took a nice swim in the salty clean water of the pool
it was so refreshing
after that we gather all our camping gears and heading toward black mountains in the middle of desert
you can see them in the picture below
the mountains on the horizon
they have the strangest scenery I've seen so far
everyone comes with me there they said its likes another planet
somehow its like Mars
it took us two hour and half from caravansary to very beginning of the mountains
some part were very challenging
they are dry but when you get in the ground act like a swamp
very though driving skill needed otherwise you will stuck for whole of your life here
worst thing to happen is stuck-in a flat ground
the only way out is someone towing you with another truck or it takes almost one day digging the car way out and deflating tires
and again with a high skill driving on 4x4 techniques
a tip for 4x4 guys ***deflock or crawling or traction systems ***are not helpful when you stuck at flat land
they are very helpful when you have one free spin tire
on flat land they are much less effective
the mountain have been curved out for millennium by the wind and before that corrosion by the sea
yeah there was a sea there thousands years ago
the name of the sea was Tethys from cretaceous times
which all this lovely sands, nice desert, strange mountains are its heritage
the other thing that was notable was temp
the temperature drops dramatically from desert to the middle of the mountain almost 25 (f) or 14 (c)
then we headed toward a cozy corner in a dead end valley for our second night camp
gathering some woods making fire
making tea and Farid start to cook for us a very delicious local food
during cooking we setup our tents
and rest a bit inside & reading our books
then we gather around the fire and chatting around camp fire
which is very pleasant after a long exciting day driving through
enjoy the Orchestra in the movie :)
