Moving On From Sendai

in #travel7 years ago

Hello Steeeeeemers,

Today my friends and I left Sendai for Sapporo, Japan. It was hotter sweet leaving Sendai. I really enjoyed our time there and feel like we could have spend at least a few more days taking it all in.

Fortunetly Sapporo has already grabbed my attention with it's significantly larger downtown area. With lots to explore and take in these next 5 days should memorable to say the least.

Today was mostly spent travelling here to Sapporo in which I spent almost the whole time reading so I don't have many photos. Even still, here are a few shots I did take in the short time we have been here so far.

No time for color grading in Snapseed today. All pictures are the originals taken on my Google Pixel (which by the way is non-existent in Japan).

Hope you all enjoy!

Best ramen I've ever had at this small but busy restaurant called Ebisoba Ichigen

I went with the rich broth, salted with a side of gyoza and cola (y)

Even older business men get down in the arcades!

Only in Japan would a bowling alley have bowling balls painted like basketballs and a car for seats...

Never thought I'd get a rush from a carousel but this one was on top of a building... A little high for my tastes I guess!

My buddy had to try out this guitar hero style drumming game (I will be spending at least $20 on this game :p). The locals on here prior were rocking out hard styles

So much going on here....

Solid beer advertisment, taking up the whole top part of this building

Another shot of this beautiful city. Hey it's that beer again!

Nikkaaaaaaa whisky baby

So yes, great first night here in Sapporo. Really looking forward to the next couple of days.

Have any of you been to Sapporo? Or to Japan? Let me know in the comments what you did or didn't like about it!

Until tomorrow folks.

Cheers,

Very nice photos. Japan is so unique, I wonder if the Japanese themselves marvel at the quirkiness of things there.

Interesting how most people at that ramen place appeared to be dining on their own. I hear there are a lot of singletons in Japan. Any comments on that?

I think that some are aware while others are oblivious to it, which is understandable as they were raised there and it's possibly all they know.

To my knowledge there are lots of singletons however I do see plenty of young couples on the streets and there were at least a half dozen families either eating or lined up in this ramen place at the time.

On the contrary you do see plenty of single guys lining up themselves or with there co-workers..

Thanks so much @xuanvo

Happy to be here!
