How safe are the airplanes you fly on.....

in #travel6 years ago

When and if you fly, do you ever stop for a moment and wonder how safe is that airplane you are flying on or is about to board?
If you are part of the flying public you know too well how it has become more and more difficult to through security at any airport since 9/11.
To say you will apply for a job where you get access to airplanes no matter what size they are, without going under a microscope for the federal government is silly. Little things if you were to have on your record that normally wouldn't affect you, now does in a big way. Say thank you to 9/11 terror attacks.
With all the terror threats and attacks that are taking place in different parts of the world, why is it that the airlines we the flying public rely on to fly us around this world is having more and more of its maintenance work outsourced to foreign countries like Mexico, Brazil the Caribbean to name a few.
If you didn't already know, you should know that with work being done on airplanes on foreign soils bring to question the integrity of the work being performed.
The maintenance crews working on these planes, are they licensed and if they are are the being held to the same standards by the FAA as the maintenance crews here in the US? Is that a pathway for terrorists to gain access to these airplanes and have a repeat of 9/11. How secure are these planes when they are on the ground in these foreign lands.
How many of these workers may or may not have ties to terror cell groups, where the can give them access to the planes?
Bottom line is i think, and i'm sure you will agree with me that these airlines are putting the flying public as risk with such practices and putting their bottom line ahead of the safety of the passengers they serve and depend on. There should be some law governing how much work should be allowed to be performed outside of the us and the type of work to be performed. MAGA shouldn't be sending American jobs over seas... Now That's my Bottom Line....
