I try to look at such places from the outside, as a person who loves his country and respects the interests of others. Diveevo - a very famous place, and about Seraphim Sarovsky know or at least heard even those who are far from Orthodoxy.

Diveevo is located in the South of Nizhny Novgorod region. From the car Park of the monastery to Moscow navigators showed the figure of 432 kilometers.
The monastery is situated on the banks of the river Wickins. After Iveria, Athos and Kiev-Pechersk Lavra this monastery is revered by the fourth earthly lot of the most Holy Theotokos. Every day there are a huge number of people. Tour groups go one by one.
The history of this place is associated with the name of mother Alexandra. During the night prayer in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra she had a vision of the blessed virgin, in which she was instructed to go to the North and go around all the great Russian places. On the way to the Sarov Hermitage mother of Alexander stopped in Diveyevo, 12 miles to the destination. During the stop, the mother of God appeared to her a second time and announced that the place was found.
The history of the monastery began with the laying of the Foundation of the Kazan Church, and after the construction of father Seraphim forbade to call it a parish, talking about the future expansion. Later, a mill community appeared next to the Kazan community. A few years after the death of the Seraphim community had United under the name of St. Seraphim nunnery in Diveevo. In 1861, the already expanded complex of buildings received the status of a monastery.
I was very lucky to see the monastery in all its spring glory. I have no doubt that in summer it is even better, but spring allows you to show beautiful bright home.
The main temple of the monastery is called Trinity Cathedral. It was built between 1848 and 1875. Pseudo-Russian style.

The interiors look very nice and modern in some places. all these are consequences of the Soviet period in the history of the monastery. In 1917 it lived 270 1474 the nuns and novices. He got a chance to exist, became an artel in 1919. Awhile...
on September 21, 1927, the monastery was closed. All the clergymen settled in the district and in neighboring monasteries and churches. The relics of St. Seraphim took their place in 1991.

As a guest of the monastery, I am very pleased to see how here take care of all their economy. Here you can see the usual life. Gardens are flat, beds are prepared, paths are cleaned.
You can safely and comfortably observe the life of the clergy, and they themselves seem to be ready for a huge number of tourists.
Our tour group had a blessing to shoot in Holy places, but I didn't see any bad attitude towards those who shot something on their cell phone.
Except that sometimes I have a desire to see some signs. I understand that being in a religious place would be worth knowing more than I do. But unfortunately, my religious knowledge does not allow to tell, for example, about these icons.
But tourism is often the income of the monastery.
