Good morning!
I am constantly overwhelmed by the beauty all around us. The delicate and patient way earth has etched it's maturation. You know when you were a kid and your parents marked your height on a wall? That's what I seen when I amidst giant canyons and ravines. When I explore places like Moab, UT in Arches National Park, I feel so humbled by time. My time vs. the millions of years the earth has evolved, constantly changing and embracing the change. I guess she doesn't have a choice. But it would be cool to shrug change off one's shoulders as easily does our awesome planet.
The arch in the image is the Corona arch. They say that water washed away the rock on the inside of the arch, leaving just the shape the now exists.
This image shows the glacial and water patterns, as the water slowly receded in this valley. As does the interior of this cave, although it's more indicative of a river running through it. In fact water still leaks out of the rocks, suggesting there's an under ground lake...
The next two images show glacial and water movement through the ages, hence the lines within the rock itself.
I traveled all the way up and beyond the the Corona arch. There were people who used to bungee off the arch, and one can still see the marks left by the cords. It's very dangerous and not recommended, ever. Did you know that bungee jumping pulls apart all your vertebrae?
The following two images is another arch in the making. One maybe could refer to it as a baby arch, lol.
I guess the entire point of this piece is that, the beauty of our world was made with luck, patience and time; a bold request for us to be more like our ever evolving earth. In this era of instant gratification, maybe, just maybe we should worker harder to understand that this hand we are dealt, no matter how challenging, is one that that is our own narrative, we are the stars of our own lives and our own destiny. Forcing things, leads to disappointment and missed opportunities. And when a relationship ends, leave it and don't go back to it, the earth can't go back to the past, and neither can we It's up to us to be patient, give it time and when the time is right, luck will present your best option for your life.
Embrace change. Move forward and not backwards. Be like these rocks, be chipped at, be blown away by the wind, let glaciers destroy your layers, as obstacles can be hellish, and you too will forge a thing of beauty.
