Travel Tipid Tips # 3: Cebu City Quick Itinerary

in #travellast month

Hi Hives Friends! This is me again, kri— the travel mommshie. I am so excited to share with you my another travel "tipid" tips, that for sure can help you with

I previously lived in a bustling city where noise, traffic, any kind of pollution, crime, and high living costs were everyday challenges. My husband and I decided to escape the urban stress and build a new life in the countryside. We sought a quieter, healthier environment where we could enjoy nature, gardening, and a simpler lifestyle. Many people are drawn to the peace and affordability of rural living, trading city noise for birdsong and high costs for homegrown food.

Honestly, adjusting to life in the countryside wasn't easy, especially giving up our old city habits. That's why we decided to occasionally return to the city and explore new places as well. My husband and I share a love of adventure and travel. We're always on the lookout for exciting experiences, new coffee shops, great restaurants, and Instagram-perfect spots.

One time, some of our work colleagues, who had become close friends, expressed interest in joining our adventures. They were also travel junkies and likes to roam around with the city and its surroundings. They are also very eager to explore new things, they decided to join us on our trips.
Just a brief background, Cebu City has something for everyone, for all of us, regardless of age and generation Whether you're a history or nature lover or simply want to unwind and experience the local culture.
Cebu City is a blend of old and new, relaxing and thrilling. You can also learn more about its past and present history in culture or simply relax and enjoy the scenery it offers. In addition, it serves as an excellent starting place for island-hopping adventures and you if you are a mountaineer wanna be you can go to the mountain side of the city in Busay wherein offers a picturesque escape. There is something for everyone, so check it out!
We brainstormed and search for places where to go, what to do and where to eat well yeaaah that’s our trip. Then Viooolaaa! Didn’t we realize that we already created a bucket list!

First on the list: Museum of Emotions

We wanted to check out those popular spots that are perfect for Instagram posts. We really love keeping up with the latest updates! So naturally, we had to check out these trendy spots that everyone's been talking, we couldn't resist checking out all the Instagram-worthy places. As the trendy people we are and as certified "katkatera" and clout chasers! but hey, don't judge us, HAHAHAHA for the record, commonly we don't have an experience-rich childhood, this is also somewhat what we called healing the inner child within us, it’s like an adult therapy or something HAHAHAHA

(same vibes, same wavelength with @bingbing1218 😎)

We stumbled upon the Museum of Emotions in Ayala Center Cebu, which is basically Gen Z's new favorite hangout. The museum promotes the understanding of emotions through its bright, colorful, and interactive displays. Museum of Emotions encourages everyone to appreciate, recognize, and celebrate the different emotional states that a human being can feel. You can take your time and take all the photos that you want because Museum of Emotions has over 30+ eye-catching art displays that you'll definitely enjoy. We enjoyed it indeed!

Second on the list: Bai Hotel

So, we were trying to find a cheap hotel for the four of us just so you know for budget friendly “tipid” purposes HAHAHAHAHA. After getting the lowdown from friends and fam and considering the good reviews from booking sites and internet, we choose and booked Bai Hotel. It's like a fancy hotel (four-star, can you believe it?) but it's in Mandaue City. They've got a great infinity pool, spacious rooms (perfect for four), and the staff is super nice in accommodating us. Plus, the food is yummy without emptying your wallet. If you want a chill place in the city with good vibes, I highly recommend you to check out Bai Hotel!

(as a talikodgenic fersons LOL 😁)

Third on the list: Cebu Yacht club

Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu has this awesome spot with lots of yummy food places and killer views of yachts. It's perfect for taking pics! If you're on a budget but still want to look cool, check out Cebu Yacht Club. It's chill, not too crowded, and won't break the bank. Trust me, you'll love it!

Fourth on the list: Terrazas de Flores Botanical Garden in Busay

If you are one of the “plantita” lovers out there, and If you seek an escape from the bustling city life, this location offers a perfect retreat for relaxation and picturesque "blogger posts" on Instagram this reco is for you. Aside from learning about the diverse array of flowers, which are all labeled with their common and scientific name and are identified by the Botanical Society of the one of the Universities here in Cebu.

Guests can also rent their cabanas to rest in they offered a one thousand pesos 1,000.00 to avail their unlimited stay in their cabana’s cottage, but if you're on a tight budget just like us, you can opt to pay 100 pesos per hour (please correct me if I'm mistaken).

If you're feeling hungry and thirsty, you can opt to dine at their coffee shop in the heart of their garden. From the cafe, visitors and travelers can get a sight of their beautiful town and the greenery that surrounds it, as for the food, I found it to be rather average. I highly recommend visiting Terraza del Flores during the dry months of December to May. The place is cozy and intimate, and there is also minimal rainfall during these months. That’s why I recommend you visit during these months since the entrance and the stairs are quite stiff. When it comes to the time of day, I highly recommend it is best to visit in the morning or early afternoon so that you can capture the flowers' vibrant colors, which make for a picturesque view.

When it comes to tourist attractions, Cebu City has a lot more to offer. It is packed with amazing things to see and do! with a broad choice of activities that will satisfy a single travelLer's preferences. A one-day itinerary tour is not enough. There's so much to explore that one day just isn't enough. You'll want to keep coming back for more!

But what makes the tour more exciting is the part that you share your best moments and great experiences with your closest friends and family.

I guess my recommendation for this blog is kinda “kulang and somewhat nakakabitin” but one thing is for sure I will post for another blogs to keep you updated on all my travel tipid tips and travel recos. You can also share your travel adventures in the comment section, so that I personally can visit it too.

So, stay tune for more practical budget friendly travel tips. Xiao!

To always love 😘,

Momshie Kri 🥀
