Important Question For The Steemit Community

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Do you ever delve into your Steemit existence? Is it just to create a following or earn Steemit rewards? Or is there a deeper purpose to your Steemit presence?

As a new member of the Steemit community, I'm still trying to find my purpose for existing in this virtual space. Many members seem to have a strict and highly thought out strategy to achieve their Steemit goal, whatever that may be.

In general, I'm aiming to take part in today's booming travel industry, with hopes of one day maybe offsetting travel costs by online income (I know, another one). However, this is a loooooong way off, and to begin I need to learn how to enjoy and improve the writing part. Steemit seems to be one of the many avenues to practice writing/blogging. So at this stage, my strategy is to develop a strategy, I suppose.

What I don't want, is to write just for the purpose of publicity or attention. I understand that's a big part of it. But I read so many articles which appear to be not so genuine, or trying too hard, and it frankly makes me cringe. You feel me?

I want it to principally be a way of linking my stories to photos, which would otherwise live indefinitely on a hard drive, slowly losing their meaning. If I can successfully capture and present these memories in a way which other people enjoy, not just myself, then I think I will be on the right track towards making these memories live forever. That, to me, is a really inspiring thought. Through my online memories and experiences, I can continue to take part in this world long after my bones have turned to dust.

If doing so helps me tap into the travel industry while I'm still kicking, then all the better!
