Worldmappin will carry on Pinmapple's legacy

Introduction

Hello everyone, it´s @martibis again. As mentioned before, this is the end of the road for @pinmapple. But I do have some good news. After the outpour of love and support @detlev will continue the project under a new brand Worldmappin, using the open source code.

First of all, it's worth noting that the @pinmapple account and brand are still closing down, but Worldmappin will take over the torch.

• All of your work and your pins will be transferred over to Worldmappin
• The map will be available soon at worldmappin.com
• @detlev (one of the first users of the map) will run Worldmappin

Continuing the legacy

One of our first users of the map @detlev approached us and offered to take over the project with a new brand name, to keep the great work of the @pinmapple team and the community alive.

For those who don't know @detlev, he has been a member of Hive (former Steem) since April 2017. The well-known beer guy with the longest-running challenge and a traveler as well. He posted to @pinmapple even before the service was live. Detlev has been running software projects for a long time. He will work together with @lizanomadsoul one of the @pinmapple curators I'm sure you're all familiar with, to continue the mission under the Worldmappin brand. You can already follow the account at @worldmappin. @ybanezkim26 will also join the curation efforts at @worldmappin.

Worth noting that this team, also has the support from @blocktrades and @theycallmedan will stay.

What are the next steps

• @pinmapple will be inactive in curating, voting, etc.
• The pinning service and https://pinmapple.com will keep running until the @worldmappin team are up and running.
• The community on Hive and Discord stay the same, but will be renamed to Worldmappin (when the time arises) @detlev and @lizanomadsoul will be the admins.
• A new DHF proposal will be created in June in order to maintain and develop the Worldmappin project.
• You will find any other news at @worldmappin (so make sure to follow there)
